Delta Children Bentley S Series 4-in-1 Convertible Baby Crib, Black Cherry Espresso

I'm writing this because as I do with everything I purchase, I always start by reading the reviews and then go straight to the 1 star reviews to see if there are any common complaints. It seems like most complaints have to do with a strong chemical odor. This is absolutely not true. As with any wood furniture I've ever bought, it has the mild new wood furniture smell I get from new wood. The scent of lacquer, stain, and glue is faint. This is not a powerful weapon. As I was putting it together, I was extremely intimate with it for 45 minutes and it did not give me a headache throughout. Because of it, I do not fear for the health of my child. Our grandparents will be able to watch him in this crib when we buy a second for their house. I hope that it will be perfectly fine by the time they watch him. I'm sure it will air out over a few days. There is only one way to avoid this, and that is to buy an unfinished wood crib if you are that concerned. In terms of the rest of it, it is what it is. I put it together without much difficulty. The Allen wrench that was supplied was all that was needed. Mistakes are not made in the drilling process. A missing part or piece cannot be found. I was happy with how everything turned out. The bed appears sturdy enough to be used for a toddler. Although I probably wouldn't be able to get in it, I am 200 lbs and I am pretty sure it wasn't designed to accommodate The crib was just delivered today, and I only set it up tonight, so I can't speak to the durability, but it's almost identical to the crib we currently have. That crib is now on its 3rd baby, so I don't have much concern. Here's my two cents, take them or leave them. It is a crib I would recommend.

It wasn't difficult to assemble, and I noticed that it was made from high quality wood and that it definitely exceeded As well as the Delta Children Eclipse Changing Table, we purchased a storage cabinet. There is a strong similarity between their styles, which looks beautiful together. My advice following the review of another member was to heed their warning and purchase the crib mattress they recommended since they mentioned that others didn't fit this crib well. A perfect fit for my daughter was the Safety 1st Peaceful Lullabies! Having used this crib myself, I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of.

One issue, which also explains why it earns only four stars, is that it is listed as a 4-in-1 system, which means it can be used from a crib to a toddler bed to a daybed and finally a full bed with a headboard and footboard. In this description, you don't get a physical package for all the phases, so when you open the package, you can only convert to two of the phases without purchasing additional pieces. A toddler guard rail and full bed conversion rail will cost around $150 ($50 for toddler rail, $100 for full bed conversion rail). As a result, this crib is much more expensive once you add in the conversion pieces you need to purchase to fully utilize It concerns me that if a person does not purchase the conversion pieces immediately after they purchase the crib, the additional pieces may not be readily available when needed. The four phases of this crib are not included in the package, so you must buy additional items in order to convert the crib to the four phases. The crib is rather a 2 in 1 with the ability to convert to a 4 in 1. While this crib may not be the perfect crib, I still think it is an excellent.

I really like the crib - it's very well made, a beautiful piece of furniture, and it's very elegant. November2018 was a month before our granddaughter visited our home for the first time, so we bought it for her. As the chemical smell initially was strong in the room, even though it was winter here in Michigan, we kept all three windows open, and a snake plant was placed in the room to see if the smell would disappear. Due to the smell of the crib, our granddaughter was unable to sleep in the room where the crib was placed on her first visit to our home. Sleeping with her parents in another room, she ended up spending the night with them. After receiving the crib for approximately 1 1/2 months, it was still very strongly smelling of chemicals. As a result of the smell, I would only give the overall rating of three stars. The chemical smell in the crib is diminishing, but it still exists as of March 11, 2019. It would be helpful for me if you could tell me why the smell is happening. Bringing baby beds to our children would create a great deal of confusion. Our problems were not the same 40 years ago.

Damage to the package and its contents were two of my biggest concerns A sturdy crib is a good investment. This one was chosen because it's so beautiful and it has a nice design All of the reviews we read said that the crib was well packaged Having opened it, I am pleased to tell you that it was extremely well packed. In the box, there was a huge gash (as you can see in the pictures attached). When I opened the box, I became very nervous. It was great to see that it was all insulated in styrofoam and the box was in good condition Wrapped each item in a plastic bag. A tiny dent was on the top of the book, but it was against the wall regardless. If you do this, you will get dents & scratches You can get it even in stores for a lot more. The place where we live is in the middle of nowhere & The nearest large retail store is almost two hours away, so Amazon seemed to be the best option. Assembling this unit was quick and easy. I put it together in less than 30 minutes with my husband. The only thing I did was hold up pieces. I'm very impressed with the quality of this bed. It was a pleasure to work with you and we were very impressed Our little one will have so much fun Regarding the comments about chemical odor, we did not develop this until we closed the door for a few days to the room it was in. Our noses were immediately attracted to the fresh smell when we opened the door. Despite the lack of windows, the room is dark It's got only one air vent, so if you don't plan on closing off the room, you shouldn't have any issues with the airflow in there. Before I bought a sheet protector, I kept it closed because I don't want our cat to pee on the mattress. As for the purchase itself, it couldn't have been better. I love this crib even more than my first one now that I'm a mom for the second time. I think the price is worth it.
