There was literally a seam that had to be unpicked to get it in. This thing has been completely turned inside out in order to see if there was any way of assembling it without doing that, but there was no zipper, no opening, only a fully stitched-together bag The bumper was clearly meant to go into the closed sleeves, but they had to be peeled apart at the seam in order to get into them. The process was great once it was done, however. In addition to being comfortable, the baby loves it, we are happy with the product, and other people have not reported this issue, so perhaps the zipper was accidentally left off on one of the garments by accident, However, we had a huge amount of trouble setting up ours.

It's the perfect gift for my baby. I had a really hard time sleeping at home without this during my first few nights home. My baby likes to nap in this cozy nappy. Love that it is thick and lightweight to keep her safe and secure while cosleeping in the bedroom with my husband and me. I ordered this because my baby needed something like this for sleeping, and it had great reviews, so I thought it would be perfect. It turned out to be perfect except mine smelled like mildew/mold, and it was stained with mold spots from sitting somewhere hot and having condensation inside. As soon as I got it, I washed it immediately because I wanted to wash it before it got stained. Unfortunately, the stains didn't come out, but fortunately the smell did. There was just something disappointing about the condition it came in. Since the padded parts came in vacuum sealed bags, they were still in great condition which is why I kept it instead of trying to return it like I wanted to. As much as I would like to give this a better review, it does work for my baby just his condition was not good and still remains that way.
