Questions & Answers

Is the cream color more off white or beige in color?

It's very light, almost off white; my room is currently decorated with light greens, yellows, and some beige, but I think it'd look great in a room with gray tones. If you're working with beige or grays, I think it's light enough that it could go either way. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is this product delivered in a box?

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Delta Children Products. This item needs to be put together.

What is the exact circumference of the ring's base?

I'm not sure, but it doesn't appear to extend beyond the chair's base.

Is it a pleasant experience?

It's designed for shorter people, such as myself, who stands at 5'3" and finds it comfortable. If you're taller, you won't be able to do so because your head won't be able to rest back.

Selected User Reviews For Delta Children Blair Slim Nursery Glider Swivel Rocker Chair, Charcoal

This chair is suitable for adults and is ideal for use in RVs
5/5

I was hesitant to buy this chair because some reviews claimed it was small and child-sized, which is not the case. I put a picture of my 6'2" 220 pound husband in it. br>We purchased this chair to replace a worn-out one in our RV. It is divided into two parts. br> The brackets into which the back slides can be seen in the photo. That is all there is to it. As far as assembly goes, that's all there is to it. br>The bottom easily fits through an RV door, and the back can then be attached inside your RV. It is extremely comfortable. br> It swivels and glides in all directions. The armrests have a memory foam feel to them. They're incredibly gentle. Please look at the photos. br>Before putting it in the RV, we sprayed it with Scotch Guard. The chair is well-made and heavy enough to prevent it from sliding around while driving, but it could also be bolted down. If you're interested, look at the photos of the bottom. br>The color gray is the same as it appears in the advertisement. br>Our chair is quiet and does not squeak. br>I give this chair 5 stars. It's well-made and extremely comfortable.

Except for the creaking, everything was perfect
3/5

As others have mentioned, when you rock back and forth, ours creaks. The chair is extremely comfortable, the cushioning is excellent, and the armrests are at an ideal height for holding a child. The chair has a small footprint, which is ideal for our small nursery. The only gripe I have is with the creaking. I've asked for an exchange, and I'll let you know when I get it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> I've had the replacement for about two months now, and I'm having to reduce my rating to two stars. It makes exactly the same noises as the original one we got. The creaking ("creaking" isn't a strong enough word to describe how loud it is - It's a deal breaker), but it's not significant. I'd take a different route. I've tried tightening the screws and bolts, which works for a few days but then the noise comes back. Believe me when I say it's bad. Unlike the other reviewer, the sound is loud enough to wake up my infant whenever I try to get out of the chair.

For about 4 months, it was a nice chair
3/5

**UPDATE*
Since writing the review, I've had my baby and have used it a lot with her. The squeaking has since become extremely irritating. Every time I sit to rock my baby, it is extremely loud and inconvenient to hear. The gliding motion is soothing, and my baby quickly falls asleep; he doesn't seem to mind the squeaking, but it bothers me. The cushion is comfortable to sit in for hours at a time; my son had a cold and I was able to keep him comfortable by holding him and rocking him; however, the lack of recline made it difficult for my neck and head to rest. br>br>When I first received the chair, I was a little confused because I thought it was a child's chair. But once I had it in the room and sat down, I was completely enamored with it. I'm still waiting for my baby, but I've been rocking my 1-year-old nephew and he falls asleep quickly and quietly.

"A chair for hobbits," says the narrator
3/5

This chair was described as being for hobbits in one review I read. As a 4'11" woman, I adore my hobbit-style clothing. a chair of appropriate size! In this chair, I can actually touch the floor (with the tops of my feet), and my husband, who is 5'10", enjoys it as well. If you're not short, you're not going to enjoy it. It's not particularly large, but it's exactly what I needed. It's also very comfortable and simple to put together. br>br>Edited to add: OK, all the complaints about a squeaky chair are true. Except it's not just squeaky; it sounds like it's screaming, and if someone is rocking it, you can hear it from rooms away. I'm still attempting to solve the problem. The chair is still appealing to me, but only when it is in a stationary position.

Petite mamas will love this glider
5/5

Color - "Taupe" is a sandy light brown color that is slightly darker than shown. Very lovely. br>br>Material (br>br>Material (br>br>Material (br>b Linen appears to be durable, and while it is not soft, it is also not scratchy. br>br>Comfort - It's not a "plush" chair, but it's comfortable enough for a nap. It's soft but not so soft that it's difficult to get out of. br>br>Size - I took a photo of it next to diaper gene to get a sense of scale. Yes, it's a small space. But it was perfect for me because I'm 5'3 and needed something that was easy to get into and out of while holding a baby. When I sit in chair with flat feet on floor and my knee is at perfect 90% angle and lap is flat, I’t have to push off floor to glide. The chair arms% I'd say it's about 2 inches above my knees. However, I believe that this will make breastfeeding easier for me. With my most recent child, I discovered that the chair arms were always too high and in the way. That's something I can still do with the armrest. It's an "arm rest," but it's not high enough to lean on without leaning forward or down. The chair's back rests around mid-neck, making it ideal for resting your head "back," which means looking slightly up. This is an excellent place to nap. However, it isn't tall enough to "rest" your head on while watching TV or something. If you're taller than 5'5, I recommend getting a larger chair. br>br>Assembly (br>br>Assembly (br>assembly (assembly It's very simple. Slide the back into the metal catches on the base, tighten the bolts, and the chair cushion velcros to keep it in place. br>br>In general - There isn't much room in the chair for a child over the age of a year to sit in. This is not the time to curl up in your toddler chair and read a book. However, during the first year of your baby's life, you will require a good glider, and this one is ideal for a petite mother. Comfortable and easy to get down/up from (if 5'5 or under) and easy to rock without having to reach or use tiptoesbr>br>I'm 5'3 and 160 pounds, and this chair is the perfect size and comfortable for me. I'm very pleased with the quality and workmanship. It makes my 6'5 husband look a little odd. He could, however, use it if necessary. He'd just be a little uncomfortable.

It's ideal for a small space
5/5

These chairs were purchased in bulk for a small nursing mothers' room. They're ideal for cramped living quarters. They appear small at first, but in comparison to larger gliders, they pack a powerful punch. For that sleeping/eating baby, a swivel and glide combination is ideal. Couldn't be happier, the material looks professional, and these will hold up to the constant use that they will receive in the mother's room. I'd like to get one for my 10-by-10-foot room, but she's outgrown night feedings. They are adored by everyone who has seen them and sat in them.
