If it weren't for the assembly issues, I would have given 5 stars because the chair is comfortable and the perfect size for a small nursery. First, they included twice as many of one type of screw and none of the other, resulting in a total of eight screws (and a trip to the hardware store). Second, the instructions mentioned holes for assembly on the seat, but the finishing fabric obscured them. Third, two of the pre-drilled holes had to be drilled out and sanded. Because the holes were too small to accommodate the screw heads for sinking, they had to be drilled. That seemed odd to me, because the two other holes for the same assembly step worked perfectly. I didn't contact the manufacturer for help with these issues because I was in a hurry, so I'm not sure how they would have handled it.
It is both comfortable and simple to put together. The color is a lovely denim blue. blue (the fabric isn't denim). Wood had a lot of strength. The instructions are simple to follow, and the package includes a phone number to call for help with assembly and other issues. Because of the low price, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality; my only complaint was that the buttons were slightly off-center. I could have taken a star off for that, but it wasn't a big enough issue for me to do so.
As you can see in the picture, the buttons are misaligned. Because the pieces didn't line up with the holes, it was extremely difficult to put together. My husband can put anything together, no matter how difficult it is, but he had a lot of trouble with this. It's low-quality, sticky stickers that can be seen all over the visible parts. Getting those off is a real pain. Purchases should be avoided.
It looks great and is very sturdy once it is put together. The instructions for assembling the item are ambiguous and confusing. The color of the wood is not as dark as it appears in the photo.
It was easy to put together. I like how the arms are padded. This was purchased as a nursery decoration for my expecting daughter.
We were transitioning from a baby room to a toddler room and still needed a rocker with arm pads, so we purchased this chair. My husband had no trouble putting this one together, and it looks fantastic in the room.
