For my newborn granddaughter, I bought two rugs. My daughter and I both use the rugs on a daily basis in our respective homes. The rugs are all natural and have no odors.
It's about an inch and a half in diameter. It's shorn wool of the shorter variety.
Our grandson is just beginning to roll over, and his mother is refusing to take the fleece off him. When our daughter was a baby, we bought her a lambskin fleece, which she slept on until she was 20 years old. I can't speak to your SIDS concerns, but I am convinced that a lambskin is neither the cause nor a significant contributor. Wool, unlike a pillow or other fabric, does not obstruct breathing.

This rug arrived today, and I was overjoyed, as I am for the arrival of my first grandchild. Because it was so small and thin when I first opened it, I assumed I had received the wrong item. Then I noticed that "Hand Crafted in China" was written right on the label. Don't be fooled by this.
I grew up with real sheepskin rugs all over the house, so I didn't want a fake one. br>br>I have to say, this one hasn't let me down. It takes a week or so for it to flatten out and lose some of the creases, but it's luxurious and cushiony. velvety, and it has a feel to it. br>br>I have to get up at 4 a. m. because I sleep late. It's not the cheapest rug, but considering I'll have it for years and the comfort it provides, it's well worth it. I get up at 5 a. m. for nursing school/clinical days, and having the rug to cushion my tired feet before bed and step out on in the mornings instead of the cold floor is really nice.
This fleece rug has a lovely design. It's incredibly plush and soft. It's perfect for photos of your new baby and is extremely gentle on their skin. If it needs to be cleaned, I use kukaburra wool wash, which you can buy on Amazon. br>This is a fantastic baby shower or new baby gift. With time, it will undoubtedly become my children's favorite blankie. It's high-quality tanning with no discernible tanning odor; it simply smells like wool, though I realize that's an inadequate description. There's no need to be concerned because it doesn't smell like sheep. It would also be ideal for someone who is bedridden or relies on a wheelchair. It gives you a feeling of comfort by allowing you to breathe.
When my kids are young, they all use a lambskin (I used one when I was a kid 34 years ago), but this one is of poor quality. It has been clipped short, so it isn't as luxurious and soft as it should be. There are much better options for the same price. We got this one and it's fantastic!.
We use it every day as part of our morning routine, and I love that it was designed specifically for babies— I had no idea that other sheepskins might not be as baby-friendly. Before coming across this one, make sure you were safe. I usually put a burp cloth under her, but the few times the rug has gotten spit up on it, it's cleaned up easily with a wipe. I also like that it's machine washable, though I've been too afraid to try it yet! I was also pleasantly surprised by the size, which is quite substantial.
To compare, I ordered both this and a medical-grade sheepskin. It's a lot softer, silkier, and more dense. The wool's back hide is soft, thick, and supple as well. There isn't any odor associated with wool. It was simply too small, unfortunately. I wish there was a bigger or double-sized version available. This is a pelt version of it.
My kneecap was recently broken. This non-abrasive fabric is soft and comfortable. My heels have been kept pain-free thanks to the hypoallergenic sheepskin. While recovering, you should feel free. For the next eight weeks, I won't be able to bend my left knee and must sleep on my back. My heels were extremely sore and painful in this position until I discovered the Woolino sheepskin. Woolino has solved this problem by providing cushioning to my sensitive skin without causing irritation. The sheepskin also has no odor! I can see how useful this Woolino sheepskin would be for babies who spend most of their time lying on their backs. I'm thinking of giving one of these beautiful sheepskins as a baby gift to every new mom I know!.
This rug is fantastic! Thick, soft, and spotless! br>br>I had a minor problem with my first order, but the seller promptly resolved it. Like, they were incredibly attentive and concerned that I wasn't happy, and they moved quickly to rectify the situation. br>br>Both the rug and the seller are highly recommended!.
