This mobile crib cannot be customized with your own music for instance, the Nurture Smart Crib Mobile with Record and Playback lets you customize it There is a recording feature in Play that allows you to record sound up to five minutes long. You can choose to use a recording of your own voice or your own music for your custom sound.
It is a pleasure to answer There are 2 main differences in the two mobiles. The Portable Mobile is slightly smaller and has a different feature than the Crib Mobile. They also differ in the attachment capabilities and size. There is a night light projector on the crib mobile (this mobile), and a record player and button on the portable mobile. It features a record sound feature which can be used to record parents' voice or other custom sounds for playback back to the infant. In addition to being designed with the input of child life specialists, audiologists, and brain development professionals, both mobiles contain unique safety features to maximize the development of young children. There are many volume settings, timers, and sound features in both mobiles that are designed to soothe and promote the development of the baby, without overwhelming the baby's senses. Both mobiles can be easily cleaned and disinfected as well.
This program contains four timer settings, 15-minutes, 30-minutes, and 60 minutes This is done in 15 minute increments (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 60 minutes) The phone will only stay on for 60 minutes.
There are no batteries included in this package. A 4C battery is required for the Mobile.

Unfortunately, our son had to be admitted to the PICU when he was 4 days old, but a nurse set it up over his hospital bed and it really saved him from complications. We had our poor guy go through a number of tests and blood draws, and His phone kept him calm as long as it was on. We made sure we bought it before we left the hospital on Amazon because he loved it so much. I don't know why $100 seems so steep, but I think it's absolutely worth it. While he loves to listen to the music and watch the stars on the ceiling at night, it's also no secret that the "waves" sound helped my husband and me sleep as well when we were all My overall opinion of this mobile is very positive, and I recommend it highly.

The only thing I didn't like about it was that the part that attaches to the crib doesn't come apart. It seems to only work on certain crib parts except for ours. Ours is round so we had to rig some sort of adjustment so it would attach. However, I wish I knew that it only works with certain cribs because I really like the features.
This mobile was gifted to baby while he was in the NICU, and he was enchanted by it so we had to buy it. Features a lot of options. There is a lot of positive feedback about.
