I'm not sure if the shade is available separately, but a navy or red solid shade would look great next to it. I contacted Lamb and Ivy customer service for parts, and they were able to replace the missing pieces with new ones.

Prior to purchasing this item, we read other reviews. Yes, it's small, but it's exactly the right size for our son's nursery to keep on his nightstand, and it was well packaged and included everything we needed; The lamp shade, the base, and the bulb are all made of the same material. It provides a soft, warm glow to the nursery. The base is sturdy and well made, making it ideal for bedtime. It's a perfect fit for the theme of animal sports.
The lamp is small, as others have stated (I believe it is about 13 inches tall), but I have an overhead light. The lamp is merely decorative and can be used for nighttime nursing, for example.
It's very cute, but it's a bit pricey for its size.
