You could add it to a registry rather than buy it yourself since it seems like it is something you would add to a registry. It's a luxury price. If you're going to look at a zippered baby blanket you'll have to do your research since they outgrow these things too soon. *That being said, they are soft. The one I need is an adult version, I said to my hubby. Due to the design of the zipper, it's possible to bundle up the baby even when he or she gets into a car seat or stroller. * There is a lot of weight in this blanket as a baby blanket.
