When the freeze hit Texas this year, these lights saved my bacon. We were without power for four days, and I was forced to operate on a generator in the coldest temperatures I've ever experienced in Texas. These lights were fantastic; most of my neighbors didn't have any lights at all, but these ones were fantastic. I connect them to a USB adapter designed for my Dewalt power tool batteries, and one of them will last for days. They're ideal for camping, power outages, and backyard lighting, as well as any other situation where you need light in a hurry. I'm not sure how long they'll last because I've only used them a few times, but they worked when I needed them, so that's good enough for me.

This is an excellent light for the price. The end hook is made of metal and is quite durable. There's plenty of light, but it's not quite as bright as a 40W incandescent bulb. In a tent, a single light would be ideal for reading. Surface mount resistors are used to limit the current flowing through the LEDs. It is simple and effective, but it is inefficient in terms of energy consumption. All of the bulb's components are made of plastic. Keep in mind that it is NOT weather resistant in the least. If it rains, don't leave it out. To provide "strain relief," the wire exiting the bulb is tied in a knot. There's nothing to keep the wire from twisting (where it's soldered to the bulb) if the bulb twists. If you twist long enough, the solder joints will break. Easy fix! THE WHOLE BULB ASSEMBLY UNIVERSALLY UNSCREWS! The rounded light cover unscrews, and the end of the hook unscrews as well. To keep the wire in place, I used a hot glue gun to make a small blob near the top of the fixture. br>If you're handy with electronics and have some time on your hands, I'm sure you could modify this bulb to use a more sophisticated current limiting circuit. Bypassing all SMD resistors and inserting the circuit in the backside areas of the bulb, this would be possible. There appears to be enough room for a small circuit board, so I'll probably try it out on one of the bulbs I bought and see how it goes.

I've bought two of these so far. My first one has turned a little more amber in color instead of being as bright as it was at first, but the second one I bought so far has stayed bright, so perhaps the first one had a defect. These illuminate the entire interior of my van, and the long cord makes moving them around a breeze. It's also critical that these have a hanging hook for long-term use. The switch being close to the power source can be a slight problem depending on how your system is setup. I've had lights like this in the past without a hook and it ended up ripping the wires out because you could only hang them by the wire. It's possible that you'll need to stand up to turn off the light. I still believe they are well worth the money.

This is a lightning bulb that can be used while camping or in your car. It connects to a car's cigarette lighter, as well as a solar generator or solar panel. It's adaptable and simple to use in any dark corner. That is, as long as you have access to a power outlet. This is the first USB light I've bought, and it's the one I've used the most. I'm not a big fan of cool or warm white LEDs, so this natural white is perfect for me. between. This gives off a lot of light for a 5W draw. During power outages, this lamp provides about the same amount of light as my 40W equivalent lamp. This USB light bulb has been used for power outages, camping, as a flashlight, maintenance, house repairs, home improvements, auto repairs, and USB battery pack testing by myself and my family.

During the recent round of days-long power outages in California, I had several of these on hand, and they were extremely helpful. We also had several 12000mAh battery packs that we used to keep our phones charged while traveling, and these USB LED bulbs plugged right into them and worked flawlessly for several days; however, we recommend unplugging them from any battery pack when not in use to avoid accidentally draining your backup battery. In terms of light quality, the "warm" light version is far superior to the "daylight" version.

It's not Natural White; instead, it's Cool Blue. br>I took a picture to show the difference between cool blue and natural white bulbs; the left bulb is what I got from Onite, and it is blue as you can see. Natural White is gentler on the eyes and promotes the production of melatonin in the brain. br>br>The most recent bulb I purchased in December 2019 has a 10 inch length towards the switch and power, which is VERY ineffective. br>However, the cord was at least 7 feet long in total.

buy it. This is a brilliant idea. Who has the audacity to come up with such ideas? Obviously not me, or I would already be a millionaire. It's a very useful device to have in your collection, and it's also of very high quality. When prices are low, I'm always skeptical, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of light this produces. It arrived quickly, which is why we all shop on Amazon, and it was well packaged with clear instructions.
