It appears to be fantastic. I bought a 65" TV and was concerned that the TV stand would be too shabby, but I think this one is perfect. I was on the verge of getting a 70. ".
This seller is not someone I would recommend. The furniture is not as lovely as it appears in the pictures, and the customer service is poor. It's constructed of low-grade plywood. Ours was damaged when it was delivered. We contacted the seller and Amazon to return the stand because the bottom was cracked from side to side when it arrived in the box, but they refused. We only took a day off for the return (we were on vacation and the package was waiting for us). We sent photos demonstrating that the product was still in its original packaging. Before we took the pieces out of the box, we noticed the crack. After a month and a half of calling Amazon, they refused to refund our purchase, so we decided to glue it together. It worked, but the furniture is flimsy and short, and it doesn't look good.
However, the doors will not close after I install my receiver, DVD player, CD player, and so on. For the doors to close, your components must be no more than 12 inches deep. To make this unit work for me, I'll have to remove the back.
I am extremely pleased with this television stand; it appears to be very sturdy and of excellent quality, far exceeding my expectations. Each piece was clearly labeled, and the instruction booklet was the clearest and most easy-to-understand instruction booklet I've ever read. I was able to put this together in about 1 hour on my own. I am extremely pleased with this purchase because it lasted 5 hours without any issues. Please note that after I took this photo, I adjusted my doors so that they were level with each other.
It appears to be just as it should. I did it all by myself and didn't cry or become frustrated in the process. The instructions were simple to follow, and everything was clearly labeled. Assembly will be much quicker if you have two people. It took me two long hours of reflection, but I'm very pleased with the end result.
Overall, I like it, but I'm annoyed because I ordered it with an 80-inch TV, and the description says it supports up to 80-inch TVs, but the back sticker says it only supports up to 65-inch TVs, and that a larger TV may cause instability and injury: (Can you tell me why it's being misrepresented? Imagine hauling this massive box to my apartment and putting it together all by myself, only to find out it's going to break my $3000 80-inch television and possibly injure me. This is extremely aggravating. I don't usually write reviews: (Not to mention the fact that the first stand I ordered was damaged and I had to wait another two weeks for a replacement. ).
The materials used are of poor quality - It's on par with Ikea, if not more so. It's best not to move it once it's been put together - The veneer is just a paper with a printed wood texture, so I'm afraid it'll fall apart. It is not applied correctly in some places, so wavy texture can be seen here and there. Dowels are supposed to be glued, but the holes are too large for a snug fit. Furthermore, glue is insufficient. br>On the plus side - When viewed from a distance, it appears to be very good.
This is a really cool stand. It was purchased to house my 1970's television set. It took my 19-year-old son about an hour and a half to put together. It has a nice appearance, is well-made, and has a beautiful color. br>br>The cabinets are a good size, with enough room for the cable box and record player. The only disadvantage is that it could be a little higher. It reaches just above my knee when I'm 5'8ish. Otherwise, I think it has a nice modern feel to it with a hint of country. For me, this is perfect.
