It does emit some heat, but I'm not sure how warm it will keep you; I like it for its size and ambiance, but I don't use it for heating.
The rocks are weighed, and in some cases, older shipments had heavy rocks that did not completely cover the surface. This shouldn't be an issue any longer. We don't have any extra rocks, but you can buy sacks of river rocks at art and craft stores or garden centers.

The fireplace is not supplied with fuel. Because it is flammable, it must be shipped separately.

The fireplaces are well-proportioned and have a cushioned bottom, making them suitable for indoor use. The odd white stones, as mentioned by previous reviewers, are not a good look; It would be simple to purchase a bag of smooth river stones from a craft store (which I intend to do). The flame inserts are simple to use, but I wouldn't put them in a windy location. br>br>I've had my fireplaces outside for the majority of the New England winter, and they're beautiful at night. The large hollow container, on the other hand, has no drainage, so water collects and rusts inside. You can't even shake them upside down to get the water out because the opening is surrounded by a lip. It's going to be there for a long time. br>br>I'd suggest bringing them inside after each use and investing in some better-quality equipment. looking for a good time.
This is an incredible product. I wish I could give it a perfect score of six stars. We bought this to add some coziness to our outdoor balcony. I adore you so much! It also arrived sooner than I had anticipated! We also purchased the real flame fireplace gel can fuel, which fits perfectly inside and crackles to give the illusion of a real fire.
My expectations were met and then exceeded. Purchased with the intention of using on a screened-in porch. During the summer, on the porch. I bought it because I enjoy the atmosphere of a summer or fall campfire, but we rarely go down to the yard below to have one since we remodeled our deck a few years ago, and I kept wishing we could bring the fire pit up to the deck. This works well as a stand-in. I'm not sure if roasting marshmallows over the gel fuel flame is a good idea, but we do enjoy the dancing flames and slight crackling sound. There's even a snuffer included. Some reviewers expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of rock on the top. We believe it is adequate. I keep thinking about switching out the rock for some blue. White fire glass would be nice, but it's not a top priority because the rock is doing fine.
I only have one word to describe it: spectacular! For an outdoor coffee table, this is the ideal size. We also bought a box of gel fuel, which is cool because it crackles and feels like a real fire, and the stones are nice as well. I chose a $1 bag of smaller, different colored river rocks to go with it because it was all white. Perfection in every way! The fire pit was given to us as a present. I ordered the fuel that was shown with it, only to discover that the fire pit does not accept that type of fuel. You won't be able to return the fuel, so you'll be out of pocket. When I contacted Amazon, they said they would contact the third party on my behalf. Ni reached out to a third party as well. It's beyond me why they would show it with a fire pit and then suggest it. br>br>A month later, I'm still out of money.
It's essentially a stainless steel bowl with a flat shelf on top where stones can be placed. The appearance has been updated. stainless steel polished to a high shine, age industrial modern. Burnished steel or bronze would have been my preference. something with a more rustic appearance I suppose I could find a more interesting bowl, flower pot, or other container to put it in, but then I wonder why I should have to. The major disadvantage: They only sent about half of the stones required to cover the entire top. In fact, the image associated with this item is blatant false advertising, as there aren't nearly enough stones to stack one on top of another, let alone pile them up in the manner depicted. When you arrange the sparse collection of stones on the lid, it appears cheap and ridiculous. It's not the end of the world, so don't freak out. All I had to do was go out and find about 15-minutes of free time. There are 20 white stones to be added to it. But, once again, I'm not sure why. Another flaw in the design is the shallowness of the lid on which the stones are placed. When the stones are piled up, they tend to fall off the fire pit or into the fuel canister if you bump it or try to move it in any way. Overall, a fantastic concept that was executed poorly.
The stainless steel is of poor quality. It's still rusting despite my efforts to keep it polished.
