I'm not sure, but as long as both types of heaters are warming my cold feet, I'll be happy. It's doing its job, and it's very good at it. It's a small heater with a small footprint that can warm even the tiniest of spaces.

It's possible that it's a little too loud. 2021- 31br>br>The PELONIS PHTA1ABB was easy to set up and use right away. It's a little louder than a Holmes Group AccuTemp Model HFH2992 that I've had in my bathroom since 2004 during the winter months. The video below was shot at a distance of about 18" from the PELONIS unit. br>br>I needed another heater for when I was at the computer and doing Zoom meetings in my office. My previous one (Sears) had reached the end of its useful life and had to be replaced. I'm thinking of using the new PELONIS in the bathroom and the AccuTemp in the office because the PELONIS has a smaller fan blade diameter (5") than the AccuTemp (9"). They both produce roughly the same amount of air flow, which could explain why the PELONIS makes more noise. The PELONIS comes with a 1-year warranty. I wish the manufacturer's warranty was longer (at least two years) so that I could make it through the winter. It had a very reasonable price. It appears to be of high quality. The AccuTemp was given a five-star rating. I never had to use the year warranty, but the control buttons are now overly sensitive to the touch, but they are still functional after all these years. br>br>I considered purchasing the larger PELONIS PFH15A2ASB, which is a few dollars more expensive, but I really wanted a small-footprint heater. I expect the PELONIS to be quieter as it grows in size. If you're worried about noise, I recommend giving it a shot. br>br>If it is necessary, I will update this review.
The fan was so loose and wobbly that it wouldn't turn on when the heater was upright; I had to turn the heater upside down and use the Flip Safety switch to turn it on. To find the fan housing that holds the heating element to the heater housing, I had to completely disassemble the heater and the heating element. A whole ass screw was missing, and the one that was there was very loose. The screws in this heater are most likely the most important. This heater could not possibly have been quality tested because the heating element would have caught fire without the fan cooling it down. The heater now functions perfectly after I replaced a screw. but. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS IF YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DISMANTLE A HEATER. br>br>*****" When I first saw this heater, I fell in love with its appearance. It was initially very smooth to operate and heat, but after about a month, it began to make minor grinding noises and the heating process became slower. I'm disappointed because it worked so well at first, and I'm hoping the problem doesn't worsen any further. However, for the price, it's a good deal. I'm hoping it was just a bad unit. "*****
br>I've seen more than two people post the same exact review, and they're both replying to each other. I can almost guarantee that their heaters had the same problem as mine: their fans were loose and scraping the side wall of the housing, whereas mine was so loose that it wouldn't spin at all.
This is an exact copy of the description; br> "To warm up a specific area, select High or Low heating with oscillation. "br>And the photographs give the impression that it is turning or swinging back and forth. It doesn't work that way, though. False advertising!.
This heater can get an area toasty warm at 1500W, but when a thermostat is used to regulate and maintain the desired temperature, the area gets way too cool before reheating, and the heat feels more like that of a 900W heater. Heating to 900W results in less area heat, and the thermostat achieves the same result by allowing the room to become too cold before reheating. A small bedroom, like an office, would require additional heat to stay warm; if one placed the heater at one's feet, it might help feet from snow or something feel even warmer economically, but the office might become too hot temporarily. This may not be your best choice due to the poor thermostat regulation; another person who bought the same heater had the same issue.
This is a teeny-tiny device with a big punch! It automatically turns off if it is not flat on a surface, which is a plus. I like how light it is and how it follows me from room to room; one of my favorites is to put it on the counter in front of the shower so I don't get hypothermia. You can also use it in the summer because it has a fan. I would strongly suggest it.
I was completely enamored with it. I bought it to keep my feet and the area around my computer desk warm. While I'm working, the temperature can drop to the low 60s if I don't have it. I'll be able to keep it at 68-degrees with it. The thermostat works, but you'll need an ambient temperature gauge to dial it in where you want it. br>br>Thermostat works, but you'll need an ambient temperature gauge to dial it in where you want it. br>br> br>br>For such a small heater, the heat output is much higher than I expected. Sadly, however - br>br> After almost daily use for two months, it died. Nov 20 - Jan 15.
Something was burning in the air- It was the cord; fortunately, it did not cause a fire, but it will be thrown away. If you're going to use this, be cautious.
Although the heat output is excellent, there is no high or low setting. It's all about the HEAT, and there's plenty of it! The fan/cooling system is virtually non-existent. existant! I wish the wind was as strong as the temperature! The seller's shipping is AWFUL. As it was sent in the original box, it arrived dented. The grill has been severely dented because it was not shipped in a shipping carton with ANY protective measures (bubble wrap/packing peanuts).
