runs in a quiet manner This heater is incredible. It was purchased for my home studio, which is kept cool because it is located in the basement. It'll be ideal with this heater. There's also a lot of silence here. This heater has exceeded my expectations.
For about a week, this item was perfect. It was designed to fit into a 600 square foot space. ft. It was quite toasty in the basement, thanks to an old Lasko heater. When I returned home one Friday, there was a foul odor of something electrical smoldering. The Pelonis heater was plugged into a ten-year-old APC surge protector, which was emitting the odor. The surge protector also has a desktop PC and an LED monitor connected to it. I threw out the surge protector and replaced it with a new one because I thought it was defective. I went to bed after plugging the heater into the new surge protector. I reset the surge the next morning after it had tripped. The odor was back in a matter of minutes. Because the surge and heater cords were both extremely hot to the touch, I unplugged the heater and haven't used it since. I will not purchase another Pelonis product and will not recommend it to others. The Lasko is available for purchase.
This oscillating heater was exactly what I needed to get the bathroom warm before bathing my 5-month-old daughter. Because we live in a small apartment, we need to keep things as simple as possible. Small heaters are ideal for use in bathrooms and bedrooms. Before I finish bathing the baby and set up the heater in the bedroom (with the carry handle), I have someone else move easily (with the carry handle) and set up the heater in the bedroom. The product description has led you astray. I gave it three stars because, for starters, the description is extremely misleading. It says "thermostat," which makes you think you can set a temperature and the heater will detect when the room reaches that temperature. It isn't capable of doing so. Two, the so-called thermostat's temperature dial appears to be ineffective. When the dial is set to low, I don't notice any difference in the amount of heat that comes out of the heater compared to when it's set to high. I purchased this for my baby's room, but I am hesitant to use it because I am concerned that it will become too hot in her room. I was let down. It's a nice looking heater that would work well for someone at their desk or something similar, but it's not something you should buy if you want to control the temperature.
Excellent value for money! Due to covid 19, I had to relocate my "office" to the craft/exercise room upstairs. On weekdays, unless I was up there, I never kept the upstairs too warm. I ordered this heater rather than paying to heat the entire upstairs just to be comfortable in one room. I had a $15 heater from Big Lots that worked perfectly in my teeny-tiny space. It ended up in a closet, for example. This heater, on the other hand, quickly heats a standard-sized room. I haven't attempted it in a particularly large space. The tip-over safety feature and the oscillating range are two features I really like. The controls are easier to reach than on most heaters because of the tall, slender design. It's also easier to pick up and move when necessary. Overall, I would strongly recommend this heater to anyone who requires "spot heating" in their home or office.
Many of the other heaters had excessive fan noise, rattling parts, and surges that occurred repeatedly. They may have had a thermostat that cycled the heater on and off dozens of times throughout the night, or they may have had sound waves. This Pelonis heater, on the other hand, is ideal. It has just enough "clean," modern design to be unobtrusive, and it produces a powerful, consistent level of heat (the ceramic element outperforms the standard toaster-style element). It has a very pleasing amount of white noise operation, and it has a bunch of exposed wire elements style bunch of exposed wire elements style bunch of exposed wire elements style bunch of exposed wire elements style bunch of exposed wire elements style bunch of It didn't wake us up at all (at least not from the noise; the only time we were awakened was when the room became too hot for us and we turned down the heater). Anyway. We've had a lot of space heaters, and this is by far the best one we've ever had.
This small ceramic heater appeals to me. It'll get the job done, and the heat isn't too harsh. I use it in my bathroom (despite the manufacturer's advice not to) and it works great in the one room of my old house where the furnace doesn't reach. It's quiet, and the dials are responsive, and I like how it's packaged-- There are very few non- materials that can be recycled Without a doubt, I would purchase another.
