Questions & Answers

My room is 3600 cubic feet and measures 15' x 30' x 8'. Is this heater capable of keeping a temperature of 65 degrees? 70 deg. ?

Greetings, James. The room in which I have this unit is approximately 2400 cubic feet, and it DOES NOT keep the entire room at 65 degrees. Only an area of about 8' x 8' was exposed to 70 degrees Fahrenheit. It works well in a small space. I use it to heat the sofa and seating area around the TV, but I'd have to use the house heater for anything else. I bought this to avoid having to use the house heater because of the cost, and it only works for a small area. Ciao, TLM

Will the heater automatically turn on when the power is restored, or will it need to be turned on manually?

Manual

Is it possible for this heater to shut off on its own if it is knocked over?

I've had it for a few years and have noticed that when it's knocked over, it doesn't turn off.

WHAT IS THE AMOUNT OF WATTAGE?

On High-Rise, according to the box, On low power, 1500w/5118btu 900 watts/3070 btu

The unit itself is excellent, but the remote is completely useless
3/5

I got the unit, put in several different sets of brand new batteries in the remote, and it's completely dead. It won't display anything, light up when a button is pressed, or do anything else. I contacted the seller, who told me that I needed to return the entire unit. I had to persuade them to only try to get a replacement remote. They contact me about 5 days later to say they are unable to obtain a remote and that the unit should be returned in its entirety. I simply told them to forget about it because it was absurd. Returning the entire package is such a pain. I will not purchase from this seller in the future. br>br>However, the unit itself performs admirably, with excellent heat output and temperature control. Unfortunately, the seller made a mistake. br>br>NOTE: if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be If you found my review to be helpful, please vote it up so that others can see it and help fight fake and planted reviews.

One of the most effective heaters I've ever used! To begin, I'd like to state that I am perpetually cold
5/5

Even in the summer, I require the use of a heater in my bathroom while showering or waking up. I tried 11 different heaters over the last two years, ranging in price from $30 to $100, and this is by far the best. I had a Lasko for about 5 years, and when it finally died, I tried buying all different types of heaters, and this is by far the best! It heats up my bathroom in less than 5 minutes and my room (which is quite large) in less than 15 minutes. It's quite substantial. That, on the other hand, I like, and it adds a lot of strength. When I tipped it over to test it, it turned off on its own. The remote control works even when you're a long way away, and it's also cool to the touch. If anything changes in the next few months, I'll update my review. It comes highly recommended from me!.

which does not heat or cool as efficiently as the rest of the house, and For our man, we bought one of these
5/5

It's perfect for the cave because it doesn't heat or cool as well as the rest of the house; it quickly warms the room and shuts off automatically if left on. We enjoyed it so much that we bought a second one for my husband's office. shed. We live in central Florida, so we don't use it as much as people in northern states, but with the colder winters we've had in recent years, it's been the ideal supplemental heating. It's attractive, takes up little space, and is simple to use.

We purchased it because of the positive feedback
3/5

We had a terrible time. We purchased it because of the positive feedback. We had a terrible time. It was turned off after only three days, and when we checked the plug, we discovered we had nearly caught fire!.

Reaction to people who have had their outlets burned out
4/5

**Below this new statement is the original review. br>This is a response to everyone who has posted photos of burned cords and melted outlets. br>These heaters are, in fact, completely safe. Yes, the wire size is sufficient to carry the heating power of 1500 watts. A worn-out loose outlet is the source of the problem. We were having a similar issue. I ignored it because it was a little loose. When I returned 30 minutes later, the cord was still hot, and the plug appeared to be slightly burnt. I was furious when I returned the unit, but it made me reflect. The quality of the connection is only as good as the connection itself. My outlet had to be replaced. It now snaps into place, and the cord never gets hot. Please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please Don't jump to the conclusion that it's the heater's fault. Check the outlet socket on any and all electrical items to ensure it is not loose from years of use. There is a limit to how long these outlets can be used. When you plug and unplug your electrical devices, you should feel a reasonable amount of resistance OR you should doubt their tightness and dependability. Hopefully, this will be of assistance to someone and will help to keep everyone safe. br>br>I've always been a fan of Lasko heaters, but their thermostat program could use some improvement. I've had one for two years and have since purchased two more, all of which are experiencing the same issue. I used to refer to it as "huge temperature readings. " When you first turn on the units and set the thermostats, they run all the way up to temperature and then shut off perfectly; the problem is that they hold heat too well or don't come on often enough to check the temperature. br>Basically, the temperature is set at 73 degrees Fahrenheit, and the thermostat is set to shut off at 73 degrees Fahrenheit, but the display shows 73 degrees Fahrenheit, which is incorrect. It finally turns back on to heat after 30 minutes, and when it finally draws enough room air in, the current temperature display drops into the high 60s. br>To keep up with the actual room temperature, the unit should turn on and circulate air more effectively. Update. br>br> Set the temperature to 70°F. When it reaches 70 degrees, it turns off, but the heat inside causes the thermostat to read 73 degrees. It checks the room temperature at random and pulls cool air in to lower the temperature reading, but by the time it reads the air temperature is below 70 and turns back on, all of the cold air in the room measures 67 degrees. If that makes any sense at all. Temperature fluctuations are extreme.

I've used several LASKO space heaters, and this one is by far the best
5/5

I have several space heaters, including three other LASKO products, and this one is by far the best; however, almost all space heaters are equally effective at heating a small space, in my experience. A single space heater won't be able to heat a room that is more than 400 square feet. This space heater is quieter than many others, and the remote is far superior to any other unit I have used. br>br>This space heater is quieter than many others, but they are very effective in spaces smaller than that. br>br>This space heater is quieter than many others, but they are very effective in spaces smaller than that. br>br>This space heater is quieter than many others, but they are very effective in spaces smaller than that. Other units I've used don't have a temperature display on the remote, and some only let you adjust the temperature in 5-degree increments. Advantages: br>br>
- A handle for moving the space heater more easilybr>- The temperature is displayed on the remote. br>- The temperature can be easily controlled from afarbr>- br>br>Consbr>- The space heater is relatively quiet. br>br> When using the physical button on the unit to turn it on, the remote does not appear to work. You must turn on the remote in order for it to work.
- To use a remote control, you must have a fairly clear line of sight.
