This item is ETL (Edison Testing Laboratory, as in Thomas Edison) listed, which is the same as UL (Underwriter's Laboratory). The majority of heating and ventilation products are ETL certified. It also has a tip switch, which is apparently not required for UL or ETL certification.

After running it intermittently in one room for two days, both the box and the heater itself smell like chemicals, and I'm convinced my entire family has cancer. We bought it for our daughter's nursery, but I'm not going to put this filthy box of death in a baby's room. My husband used it in his basement office, and the smell pervaded the entire house. When he walked out of the room, it was stuck to his clothes and beard. We hoped that running it for a few days would get rid of the odor. Instead, our noses have been burned off.
I live in a large hotel room, and this tiny device allowed me to set the temperature to whatever I wanted - It was fantastic that it could automatically detect the temperature and turn off and on as needed. Unfortunately, it died after only two weeks. 3 months of light use (used 1 month) twice a week) It turns on, but no matter what I do, it no longer produces any heat.
On 7/24/20, I made a purchase. By 8/7/20, it was warped and cracked (my wife works in a freezing hospital ICU).
It performs admirably for about 5 minutes before shutting down. I'm guessing it's due to a sensor malfunction. I contacted Amazon for a return authorization and received a refund for the heater. It would have been better if it didn't turn off on its own.
I purchased this in early 2020, used it for a few months, and then stored it. I took it out again in October, used it for a few days, and the fan scratched against something, obstructing its rotation and causing it to squeal. Additionally, plastic melts (which began in early 2020). The warping can be seen in the image. Purchases should be avoided. It has a plastic smell to it, and it is of poor quality! I placed an order for a small space heater that was entirely made of metal.
This is a fantastic small space heater. Ordered because the temperature in my office gets too cold and I can't control it. It's perfect! It produces a lot of heat and I like how it has a safety feature that turns it off if it's tipped over. I've included a photo of my laptop backpack next to it as a size reference.
Our bathroom is located on the north side of the house, with the garage providing some shade. That bathroom is cold almost all year at 10,000 feet in the high Rockies. br>I use it on low and it heats the bathroom nicely while keeping the steam away from the mirror. In the summer, the regular fan option will be useful for drawing cool air in through the window, as few people have air conditioning, and we don't need it, but it can get hot. br>Thus far, everything has gone well, and I would recommend it at this point. However, because I don't use it in a very large space, I don't have any data on that.
This was purchased to allow me to work from my garage during C-term. Lockdown is currently in effect at number 19. Because it's summer, I'm not using it right now, but I did need it for a good 6-month period. When the shutdowns first began, they lasted for eight weeks. On many mornings, the garage was cold, but it heated up the general area around my workspace perfectly. br>br>The only thing I wished it had was an off timer. When I bought it, I assumed it had it, but when it arrived, I realized I had made a mistake. All I had to do was make sure it was turned off before leaving the area. The sound quality was satisfactory. br>br>.
