Questions & Answers
It is likely that these tongs would be effective for a campfire if it is not large. These are the ones I use Despite being lightweight, they are robust.
It is true that there is a 1'' flat spot, but nice tongs nonetheless
It is suitable for use in fire pits. Blacksmithing would probably be too tough for them.

7+ inch diameter logs are In Oregon, these sit at the coast exposed to the elements Little WD has been around for a couple of years now You just need to use WD-40 or any lube of your choice and they will keep working like a charm!.
Because my mover lost my tong, I had not been able to use it. I really like it. The pieces it grabs are of good size. There is plenty of strength in it, so I can use it in my Additionally, it can be folded to fit into a smaller area. My satisfaction with it has been very high since I started using it daily!.
Buying tools for wood stoves or tools that are sturdy rather than decorative is difficult. I chose not to buy the tools for our wood stove and, instead, made my own set of the tools I actually need and got a coal hob in which to keep them. In order to build a wood stove I need only three tools, and the sets come with only two of those plus ones I'll never use or need. As a result, I would move from the four star "like" to the five star "love" if these were a bit shorter and felt Although they are not fragile, we do use our wood stove heavily and so the time it will take to determine how long they will last in our house is going to be shorter than in most. Although it would be nice if they lasted longer. When it comes to moving wood in a wood stove, it's a matter of being more careful than with a fireplace. It is more difficult to work in a small space, and there is a greater possibility of burning yourself on any given surface. By reducing these, you would be able to move logs around in the stove much more quickly and comfortably, because the farther the weight is from your hands, the harder it is to hold (fulcrum issues and all that). There is a balance between being able to be far away from flaming stuff and being able to hold said stuff with comfort, confidence and security and these do not quite strike that balance. Wouldn't a fireplace be great? Despite the fact that I continue to use them, I think that they are far superior and more dependable than any other product of this price range. There's just one thing I wish were shorter they're too long.
As I used this tool to handle and rearrange the logs in my fireplace I was hopeful that it would work on small logs and nubs of partially burned logs that had fallen. My current tool is heavy and has no way to grip and adjust the small logs. However, I am disappointed that although it's less heavy and extends well, it does a good job gripping those problem pieces, but I have difficulty There is a heavily curved end to the tool which can both help and hinder what you are trying to do. I am fortunate to have a large amount of wood at home When the piece is cut, there is a variety of An old maple tree released many branch logs between the sizes of 3 and 4 inches, which were found on the ground this morning. While this tool grips the items well, after placing them, I cannot get it to open enough for me to release them with ease. The result is that other things get dislodged as well. These are meant for split logs that are taller and wider rather than those that are small and round.
A very large cactus about 20 feet by 20 feet by 15 feet was being chopped down. I guess that's a big deal. As a result of cutting off pieces with an electric pole saw, and using tongs to pick them up, we were able to remove the cactus with a minimum of incidents. Due to the distance, and the fact that I was 900 miles from home, and my tools I purchased an inexpensive item, delivered quickly by amazon, just as usual, and it performed as promised. The products would have been better if there were a third finger and they would've been longer, but then the prices would rise. It worked for me in this particular emergency, but I would probably purchase something more substantial to use around a fireplace more often.
It had been so long since I had used my old tongs that it was the perfect time for this. Nonetheless, I had completely forgotten about them when I built the fire this morning. when I used the tongs for the first time, I realized that they were actually a bit too long, but it will be no problem to get used to it. It's great to be able to add a log without having to stick my hand inside the firebox. While I agree that their business end is not optimal, it still has its advantages. You have to drill a few holes in that curved part to get the log out. But I'm sure if I keep at it in a while, I'll get it out.
Over the winter, I use a lot of fireplace tools, but my last set of tongs lasted a year before they broke (along with my heart. How am I supposed to move burning wood when I am without them? I mean, it's like asking the wind not to blow beneath my wings, or peanut butter not to pair That's all I have to say. While I muddled around for a few days before I ordered these tongs, I'm happy to say that my heartbreak is now The quality of their work is excellent and they are reliable. The only thing I wish for is a longer shelf life. There is simply no need to suffer through a cold winter without fully functional.
Although this set of tongs was a little thinner metal than I would have preferred, they are still useful for adjusting the fireplace wood. It is fair to say that we had a few large chunks in our last batch of wood, which made them flimsy and unstable Some of the bent parts are visible. It seemed like a great deal for $15, but I wasn't sure what I would get. I had broken the previous set of fireplace screens with my fireplace set, but I do use our fireplace 3 every day anyway Every 4 weeks and every 2 weeks Occasionally we use them all day (since we like to have fires in the fireplace and we heat with a wood stove) and I would consider them again if given the chance, but I would buy a thicker pair once these break if I can find them.
