This is an outstanding supporter. I used to have another one that didn't blow nearly as well. I didn't think the remote control would be useful to me because all I wanted to do was turn it on in my kitchen. Instead, because I've been recovering from foot surgery, I've been watching it in the living room for the past six months, and the remote has been extremely useful. This is a fan I strongly suggest.
Isn't a big fan of it. It is not permitted to be used in the bedroom because it is excessively noisy, regardless of speed. And they stink like plastic. No, he isn't a great supporter. RECOMMENDATION: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.
Mine was only recently cleaned. It's been 3 years since I got it, and this was the first time I cleaned it. I had to go out and buy a whole bunch of screwdrivers in the shape of stars. I opened it up, removed any non-electronic parts (the blade, interior side panels, and the back), and scrubbed them in the bathtub. Then I wiped the inside with a lightly dampened towel and a swiffer duster, trying to remove any fur from the oscillating mechanic without wiping away all of the lube. It's as good as new once you put it back together.
Yes, but the oscillation range is quite limited. Many 20* (vs. more like 200* on an old-school oscillating fan) I'd guess. That's pretty much my only gripe after a year. In fact, after a month or so of use, I'm pretty sure the oscillation range shrank, but I didn't think to mark it when I first got it.

This fan was something I really wanted to like. It was purchased for my mother, who has been bedridden since having a stroke earlier this year. It was a brilliant idea to use the remote. It appeared to be nice and quiet. Up to 15 minutes. When I walked in, the fan began to make strange noises, as if something was loose inside. Is this normal? I know I should return it, but I'm not sure how to go about doing so. Maybe I shouldn't buy electronic items on Amazon because the delivery guy (not ups/fedex/usps) that we've received deliveries from twice seems to enjoy throwing our boxes. br>If the vdo loaded, that's what it sounded like, and it's right next to my fish tank, so please excuse the running water noise.
This isn't it: creating a fan base. The Santa Anas, or katabatic winds, are a fact of life in Southern California. They usually start in the late summer and last until the beginning of the fall season, and - to say the least - They're terrible! It's only the middle of the week at the moment. As I write this, it's June, but temperatures will start to rise into the 80s in a few weeks, and by the end of July, we'll be in the 90s, and August will be here before we know it. We'll be in the high 90s by September. I'll tell you what happened. Hate. Being. Hot. Especially in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep. As it happens, my old fan died last week, which was a bummer but at least it wasn't 90-degrees outside. fricken- I had plenty of time to replace it because it was 90 degrees outside. This one was inexpensive ($38), and I liked that it came with a remote control, which my previous one did not. This fan is simple to put together and performs admirably. It is very quiet at speed level 1. It's a still-life situation at level 2. At 3, the white noise becomes more noticeable, but not to the point where it bothers me. The problem is that it isn't as strong as my previous fan. Its highest setting (level 3) is the same as the old one's level 2. Fortunately, I also have one of those large round floor fans that blows just shy of tornado-force winds. As a result, I'm ready. Overall, this tower fan is attractive and functional; I particularly like the remote control, and I'm glad I paid less than I would have paid at Target or Home Depot. I just wish the blow was stronger. Yes, you may conclude by saying, "That's what he said. ".
To begin with, I read a lot of reviews about the packaging; Amazon does state that it only comes in the fan box. However, Amazon offers the option of packaging your fan box so that it is not visible or damaged during delivery. In any case, I received two of these fans without any additional packaging, and neither of the fan boxes was damaged. So I believe it is UPS or USPS, not Lasko or Amazon, that is mishandling it. Also, I believe that a lot of the negative feedback people are receiving is due to the fact that these items are shipped to us rather than being purchased in a store. So, given the number of times people's fans are knocked around by the carrier delivering it, I don't think it's surprising that a lot of them have problems. Now, for the actual fan review, it works great. It appeals to me. I'm not sure why people complain about the noise; I don't find it to be particularly bothersome. Don't get me wrong, it's not completely silent, but since it's a fan, I don't mind some noise. I will say that the air flow isn't great, which may be a deal breaker for some people, but I bought it for white noise when I sleep because my other fan of 5 years just died (it was also a Lasko, by the way), so the air flow issue isn't an issue for me. The controller functions exactly as described in the description (note that it does not include batteries). It's also likely that there are two. The fan takes about 5 minutes to assemble (depending on the person), but instructions are included. are simple to understand. My only criticism is that it took longer to arrive than it lasted; however, because it only lasted two weeks, Amazon was able to send me a replacement (which arrived in three days). However, I've read at least 50 reviews on this product. Only two other reviews mentioned their fan dying, so hopefully I'm not the only one who had a bad experience. This one is a little more durable. Overall, for the price I paid, I'm very pleased with the fan, and I'm hoping it will last a long time.
I bought this fan to help me sleep by providing white noise - Unfortunately, there is NO QUIET here. br>At 102 decibels, the fan emits a high-pitched whine (1,295 Hz). (See attachment. ) This isn't exactly what you're looking for to get you to sleep. Putting things in the trash - BAH!.
This fan moves the same amount of air as my bionaire fan, which recently stopped working, but it takes up far less room in my small room. I needed a fan that could reach a certain height so that I could feel the breeze while I slept. My bed is quite high, but I'm not a fan of the traditional stand fans, which have large bases and take up a lot of space. This fan has enough power for me, and the remote works well even when I'm across the room. The only thing I've noticed is that vacuuming appears to be the only option for cleaning, whereas I usually clean my fan's grill once a year. I'll see how much dust it collects, but for now, after three weeks of daily use, it works great and isn't too loud.
Although the fan is advertised as being "whisper quiet," it is louder than any standard box fan I've ever used. I don't hear the motor at all when I use a cheap, standard box fan; I only hear the fan blades moving quickly through the air, which is great for white noise; however, this fan isn't even good for white noise because the sound it makes is a machine-like whirring/fluttering noise; I don't hear the blades moving quickly through the air; The blades are being moved by a motor, and I can hear it. br>br>With the exception of the noise, the fan is fantastic. Build quality is excellent. quality, decent breeze, smooth oscillation, convenient sleep mode, and a usable remote (though the remote only works when aimed directly at the front of the fan). br>br>I'll be returning and replacing this fan in the hopes that it was faulty.
