Since I installed 12 AC of this model in Southern California two years ago, I have installed a total of 26 AC units. All year round, they keep their air conditioners in their sleeves. Upon ordering the AC sleeve, you will receive two panels of steel painted in a painting style. Initially, one panel must be mounted on the exterior of the sleeve a second panel must be installed to close the interior of the sleeve if the AC unit has to be removed from it. During winter season, I would think you can put insulation material between the outside and inside panels of the sleeve.

As a nurse and a grandmother who live in a facility for elderly and disabled people and are allowed only one AC unit- I bought this unit for my mother and grandmother. A wall must be able to fit through it. A cooling system such as this operates throughout a two-story building There is a living room, a kitchen, and bathroom in this one-bedroom apartment. Sometimes, temperatures are lowered because the apartment gets too cool (although I love the It's not that great for grandmother). Currently, I have not played with the "follow me" feature yet, but I will update this review once it is ready. In light of the fact that I had the unit shipped to my home since I couldn't think it would be a good idea to have it delivered to an apartment with elderly or disabled residents. Since there was so much weight to the unit- But I threw it in my van and was able to take it to their apartment with ease. There is one negative aspect to this (SHIPPING)
There were two cracks on the front face plate of the AC unit. In my hallway, the shipping company placed another air conditioner box on top of the box in which the box was placed. If it was dropped or fell, it probably fell off. These cracks, however, are barely noticeable (bottom or side) and do not impact the quality of the product- The extended warranty we bought offers 4 years of coverage, so we might get it replaced after the summer.
A through-the-wall unit had previously been installed, so this AC was purchased to replace it. In case you don't already have one in place, you'll need to purchase one. It only takes a few seconds to slide in the new units. We are pleased with how quickly it cooled our living room and kitchen once installed, and it's easy to control with the remote. The device has not been turned on often since I bought it in October of 2019. Late in February, when I first noticed that it was blowing hot air, I started using it regularly. Customer service was notified and the situation was explained.
