think so, but it's only my personal opinion and not based on any professional training. My own research before buying the unit led me to read (somehow I can't find it now) that extension cords should not be used for appliances of this type.

There are times when you change the temperature or settings on the remote and then the machine changes modes on its own halfway through the night. It's only when you use the remote that you see that. As far as the unit is concerned, all the buttons work correctly, and it does get very cold and operate.
This model works the same as the older model. We have moved the display from the bottom to the top. Do not get too close to the water drain. I like the new model because it has a lot more blow. My ears will sound a little distorted at low speeds , but I will have to deal. I had an old model that had the opposite issue, too low. It will hopefully last 15 years more.
It is perfect to have the A/C with the sleeves. A condo or cooperative apartment would be perfect for this design. There is a bit of noise. Generally, this is a very good air conditioning system.
The aggravation and frustration I have been experiencing since I purchased a Friedrich thru-the-wall air conditioner (model UCT12a10a) on April 22, 2019, installed it in June, and covered it in September for the winter is the only reason for me to leave feedback. During this season I opened the AC only to find that warm air was coming from the unit. In view of the expiration of the Friedrich limited warranty I had to contact Friedrich. I turned to Friedrich for help in April, but all of their repair shops were closed because of Covid 19. The process with Friedrich went back and forth until June when I had to go to another state to drop off the AC, three weeks later I was notified the AC was ready to be picked up. Once again, I'm facing the same air conditioning problem with It is no longer possible to repair it in my area and I have been told to go to the same repair shop out of state to have it handled. My goal was to get a replacement part or a refund from Friedrich however, I was told I would have to go through their repair shop to have it fixed once My floors became a mess after all the rust from the AC poured out when I took the AC out of the wall. Since the shop is so busy, they do not know when they will have a chance to look at it. Right now, the AC is on my hall floor wrapped under a tarp waiting until next week to drop it off again. In this situation, the system would never be trusted even if the problem were fixed. I'm so done with Friedrich warranty and service. I won't deal with them again.
I used to have an AC that was set at 60 degrees and barely cooled 500 square feet. All of this is freezing when set to 79. The efficiency of this machine is superb, and it looks great. It can be challenging to control the computer remotely. The best buy of the year.
I purchased this model to fit a wall opening that has already existed. During my first year of college, I decided to replace my old existing sleeve with the Friedrich USC sleeve recommended for this university Adapt the model to suit your needs. Due to the fact both the air intake and exhaust are located on the rear, the model requires a rear louver with gaskets to be installed. Ultimately, this turned out to be an unnecessary inconvenience since both the louver and the air conditioning unit had slight damage and were If this part was already installed at the factory, then Friedrich would be able to avoid many issues. As a result of the installation, the fit is perfect, and the unit is cooling well, with a low.
My apartment has a built-in sleeve (below the window) that houses the AC, so I installed it myself. It was 92°F today, and the air conditioner kept my living room cool. With the 12000 BTU, I had no problem.
