According to my personal experience and opinion, electrostatic air purifiers are the most effective at removing indoor allergens and toxins. This is no exception to the rule of high quality. We have a mold problem in the basement of our old farmhouse, and our son suffers from seasonal allergies, so we bought this unit in the hopes that it would help him sleep better (congestion, runny nose, watery eyes, scratchy throat). His symptoms improved dramatically after the first night of using this air purifier in his bedroom. His symptoms had completely vanished by the second night. My husband and I are currently considering purchasing another of these air purifiers for our bedroom, as well as another for our main living area. I was blown away.
It was a little bigger than I had anticipated. The quietness of this air purifier is its best feature. It was stated in the advertisement, but I wasn't sure until I heard it for myself. I'm here to say that, at least on low, I don't notice it running. I just noticed that the light is turned on. It has a faint hum to it. It's still quite quiet even when set to high - It's almost like a gentle white noise. br>br>The other thing I like about it (in comparison to air ionizers) is that it's quiet. br>br> When these types of filters are in use, they emit a peculiar odor into the air. That's not the case with this. All I can do is hope it works as advertised in terms of technology and provides the filtration it claims to provide, which is at a fairly high level. br>br> I bought this for two reasons: covid (this is supposed to get down to such small micron levels that it picks up viruses and bacteria) and because I live in a house without air conditioning, so I have to open the windows in the summer. And, in a big city, pollution and particulate matter are always present in the air, which I prefer not to breathe. As a result, I considered it a small investment with the potential for positive health outcomes. br>br>Finally, I'd like to say: It's a lot bigger than I expected. That isn't to say it isn't a good thing. It's just that I imagined it to be a small desktop item, but it's actually about a foot tall and 8 inches in diameter. As a result, it's a little on the large side for a desktop computer. It's sitting on a toolbox to keep it off the floor, but it could also be used as a sofa table, end table, or deep bookshelf. This version (rather than the smaller version available on Amazon) appealed to me because it covers a significantly larger area. I'm glad I got this one because it's bigger. Simply stating that it is not a cute little desktop item - It's a little bigger this time. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased - appears to be of high quality.
It's also very quiet. My wife's allergies were keeping me awake at night because they were so bad. As a result, I placed an order for an Avari. 600s "for her" because it wasn't too expensive. We put it on the nightstand, and after I figured out how to put it in Night Mode (hold the turbo button down for a few seconds), it turned off the lights for everyone. It's been running nonstop since then, and we've both been sleeping like babies almost every night since it arrived, with no more sniffling and sneezing, blowing noses at 2 a. m. , or tossing and turning. Also, since this thing appears to work as advertised, I'm thinking that when things return to normal and I have to return to work, I'll bring this with me for a little extra measure of clean air/protection, since it claims to clean down to. One micron.
This air purifier has exceeded my expectations. It's a fraction of the size and cost of my InvisiClean. For a restful night's sleep, I use both of them on the lowest setting. It is extremely energy efficient, consuming only 1 watt of electricity at its lowest setting. My headaches, which I used to get once or twice a week, have completely disappeared. Particularly on days when the air is extremely dry or the air quality is poor. I'm not going to sleep without an air purifier again. I'm sure I'm getting a lot of additional health benefits as a result of this. br>In summary, a fantastic product at a fantastic price; I adore it! It's a little louder than I'd prefer, but that's fine with me. That's fine by me. I'm glad I came across this product while reading reviews for another filter; it's exactly what I was looking for. As a result, I'm paying it forward by writing this review. By the way, this was purchased at full price.
I've spent at least $300 on other "air purifiers" and have yet to notice a difference. My son hasn't used his breathing machine once since purchasing this product! His coughing has almost gone and I dono have to worry if he is breathing at 100% level. br>I'm so happy I tried it. I can't tell you how relieved it makes me to know that my son can breathe without the use of dangerous medications or a breathing machine in our own home!.
When I sleep, I use this air purifier to clean the area around my bed, and when I sew and watch TV, I use it to clean the area around my chair. I'm able to distinguish between the two. I'm sneezing a lot less now, and I'm not as congested when I wake up! This purchase has made me very happy.
I was looking for electrostatic air filters, and these were exactly what I was looking for. I've created a cigar-friendly home office, and they do a great job of keeping smoke out of the rest of the house. I have three of them, mostly because I wanted to go all out when it came to removing smoke.
The air quality has greatly improved, and I am able to sleep much better as a result. I'm going to buy the travel size before my next trip because I can't imagine not having it.
