Though I'm not sure if I understand your question, each drawer does have a glide to allow it to move forward when files are not in it. By manually squeezing the glide you can improve your grip. To move it forward or backward, pull it forward or backward. The issue with this cabinet we experienced was that it was badly damaged twice when it was being delivered. The box it arrived in, however, Amazon was fantastic in making sure that I was treated in an acceptable manner in spite of dealing with the annoying company.
There is an error in that statement. Weighing 107 lbs, the file is long and wide. However, it stands about five feet The file cabinet is solidly constructed and of good quality.
48 was the measurement I took. The height of 5" (48 3/4")

Shipment is the first thing we should talk about because it is so Prior to selecting a seller, I did a lot of research. After much deliberation, I decided to go with No dents were found on it when they got it here. Unfortunately, I was unable to communicate with them to explain how they almost lost a client. By reading the reviews posted on this website, Bison, you would agree that your shipping company, SAIA, might not choose Although I understand the driver (very nice) can only do what the dispatcher tells him to do, we failed to receive curbside delivery as promised. As part of this, SAIA Freight refused to help us with a deadline. They broke their original timeframe agreement and asked if we could work with them now. Our team of architects gathered a dolly, lifted it off an 18-wheeler, rode it down the road to our house, checked it, and then signed off on the deal once we opened, inspected, and received the keys. I guess you got lucky, Bison. The only option would have been for us to cancel our order if I weren't able to corral a team at that exact time or lived at the end of the street. My disappointment with the product is that it is so overpriced. Their thin, flimsy construction is similar to what other reviewers have stated. have to shut the drawers really hard or "slam" them really hard to keep them from falling out. The partition inside is not fixed. Right, I understand. Despite that, it isn't terribly important for my needs. The last time I bought one was around 10 years ago, when it cost There is a sale going on for $200. I loved the solid construction and smooth operation of the drawers. It wouldn't be hard to get one like that if you were willing to pay over 1k.
Do not fool yourself This is an excellent product, but do not try to deceive You can expect it to get dented! A few other reviews have mentioned that the box is silly thin, and I am here to confirm it. On a dolly, the lateral wall will bend along with the cabinet wall as soon as the shipper places it on the dolly (see photo Following this, you will need to make a choice You don't want to deal with the pain of shipping it back, do you? There is a lot of weight to it. Although we were able to bend the lateral walls back to where they need to be, we are extremely disappointed because it was not the same as it ought to be. There are still a few dents and scratches on the frame.
The Hon cabinet is the worse of the two old ones that I have. There are no problems with the drawers sliding, but they are There is nothing good about the followers. It seems that three of the followers do not fit properly, as they seem to be extremely loose. There is another defective component on the fourth part. It has been welded in the wrong place and is severely twisted overall. This is a bad idea. The best way to decide whether to buy this cabinet is to look at it first. Ordering by mail will not suffice. There will be no time for you to inspect the cabinet for defects after the delivery men remove the packing materials. By the way, there was a delivery date of April 11 for the cabinet. There was no notice that a truck was coming on April 1 and no explanation was given. April fools! My home was at the time, so I was able to take care of the problem.
For the price, it is a good cabinet. No longer do they make anything so heavy as they once did. Despite having ten old HON cabinets in our office, they are made of materials heavier and thicker than this one, but it is still more durable than most.
There was only one option for me - I had to return the unused cabinet in exchange for a new one Make sure you get a brand The problem is that Amazon no longer sells the cabinet, so I would need to pay $50 to purchase the same cabinet. I have extra $00 to spend. In addition, I spent hours on the phone with Amazon trying to resolve this issue, not to mention the fact that I had to load and unload the cabinets every time there was an issue, causing an additional 2-hrs time commitment The Amazon solution for this was for me to pay more for the same item after 3 hours of downtime. The cabinet is not something I would buy again, and I would be very leery of buying anything through Amazon in the future.
This product had a big dent in the corner and many bumps on the side. When the delivery guy realized how damaged it was, he returned it. hard for me to contact Amazon (I wanted to speak to a rep) I spent about 10 minutes searching for a number to call on their website, and then decided to google the Amazon phone The call center was very helpful and my money was refunded to me. This is a revised version of what I originally said The item arrived 3 days later in perfect condition after I ordered it with Plexsupply because they offered expedited shipping. I rate the file cabinet a 7/10 on a scale of 1-10. The price was too high for what I expected. A few of the sides look like they could be easily dented. I think the color is a little lighter than the picture, but the lock works, the drawers are easy to open, and the key comes with it.
That's probably not the case! Although the unit was damaged, the outside box seemed to be in good condition. Units are not checked before packaging, so it appears they do not bother to do so. So as not to get scratched during travel, I brought it all the way to the office before unpacking it. In retrospect, it is likely a scratch would have been welcome because the file cabinet was unusable due to dented drawers and frame. It is at your own risk to make a purchase.
