It's a wonderful machine, but I object to the paint on the entire unit, including the wheels on the drawer slides. You see, I purchased two of these monsters so that my wife could store her growing collection of prints and art. It seems that the paint on the wheel has flakes off after a few opens and closes and has produced lots of little paint specs all over it. Eventually, the paint should completely come off and the stainless wheel will seem smooth like it was originally intended. I'm vacuuming them slowly every few hours.
It has spacious drawers, and the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. There is a small size pallet, a cardboard box with a thin piece of foam padding between drawers, and a small amount of packaging on the pallet. The top of the box should be removed, the drawers removed, and the bags of parts removed. When all of the other pieces have been removed, remove the cabinet on the exterior. As we previously mentioned, you have the option of setting up the cabinet however you'd like (by itself, stacked on top of another, or stacked on a stand. ) Because the cabinet is pretty heavy, you'll likely need a helper for that part. Ensure that the label holders are inserted and the tabs are overlaid. As far as I know, they can be put in before or after you insert the drawers into place, though the instructions say to put them in first. I didn't need a helper to insert the drawers, but they are a bit wide, so perhaps you would need one. A new paint job is done both inside and out on the entire unit. It was perfect - the drawers and cabinet were really nice There are no blemishes on the face. The top of mine is stacked on a stand, and I use it as a workspace, with scissors, blades, metal rulers, pens, spiral bound drawing paper, most of it covered by a cutting mat, and I have not noticed any scratches yet. Previous reviewers also mentioned that the wheels flaked, and they are painted as well. You may need a paper towel to remove the flaking paint from the wheels and from your hands since it is likely gluey with grease from the wheels. If you look hard enough, there was a very minor dent on one side but it is still a lot better than any other shipment of this kind of cabinet I have ever received. It all fit together just fine, everything worked as it was supposed to, and everything worked as it should. It is also important to recognize that Bison Office answered every question promptly and sent very clear instructions about how to inspect the shipment, who was responsible for what, how the shipment was sized, and how it would be sent. Although I saw a couple of reviews about damaged shipments, I had no problems at all. The fact that this is 30 percent more expensive than the least expensive model doesn't mean that this is less valuable. My surprise is great, since I was pretty worried about the outcome. This high-quality product will last me a lifetime, so I'm glad I paid a little more.
The products (five-drawer flat files and low base) were delivered in a timely manner with no damages or missing parts. This artwork will be a great addition to my art studio because the material is sturdy.
You must be prepared for the heavy load.
For the past 50 years, I have been looking forward to it! But it's still pricey, and it's not as durable as I'd like it to be.
