Wow. This mattress is not to be taken lightly. I was hesitant to spend 82 dollars on a mattress for an infant, but after reading so many positive reviews, I knew I had to try it. When my daughter was born five years ago, I purchased a foam mattress for her. It wasn't memory foam, either. It was loud, plastic, and it ripped easily on the bottom, causing her to roll in the middle almost immediately. I assumed that all baby mattresses were basically the same, so when it came time for my son to sleep on it, I didn't give it much thought. He was not a happy camper when I moved him from our room's bassinet to his room's old mattress. He floated around like a fish for three months and rolled all night. I figured it might be worth it to get him a new mattress to see if it made a difference. It most certainly did. He's been sleeping for 10 hours straight for the past two weeks! Is this for real? I would have purchased this godsend a long time ago if I had known how fantastic it would be. I know this isn't some magical item that will instantly change your life if you purchase one, but it did for us. Hey, I'm the first to complain when a hotel bed isn't up to par — you wake up grumpy because you didn't get a good night's sleep. What makes you think it's any different for a baby? The benefits: br> well- The pros: well-made product, excellent construction, the double-sided feature is a huge plus, and the mattress cover appears to be well-made as wellbr>The cons: The smell was a little overpowering at first, but it went away after 24 hours; I'm not sure how completely waterproof the cover is, so I bought another one just to make sure the mattress lasts as long as possible. This is something I'd like to keep for a long time! br>Overall, I'm very pleased with this product, and I'm glad I invested a little more to reclaim my nights. A++.

Even if the majority of the reviews on Amazon were true, you'd still fall down the rabbit hole when it comes to baby supplies because who knows what works and what is just your baby growing out of a phase? All I have to say is that the first mattress I bought for my firstborn was so cheap that it was just stuffing and lasted less than a year. As a result, avoid that path. The second one had springs, and despite the fact that it only lasted about two years, he loved it and slept soundly in it, even when it began to sag in the middle and springs poked him in the back. When my daughter arrived, it was clear that we needed a new one. I chose this one because I was thinking to myself, "I can't take it any longer, this looks good enough. " " That's correct. It is an excellent mattress. It didn't require overnight plumping, had no chemical odor, and was reasonably priced. We can't tell which side is supposed to be softer and which is supposed to be firmer, but it should be fine for a newborn and not too difficult for a toddler. Was it successful in resolving her sleep issues? No, but that is something that will come with time. I hope this has been of assistance.

For many years, I slept on a Sealy coil mattress that was top of the line. However, it was no longer working as well as it had been. I'm a sucker for reviews and research, and I was about to make a decision on a $190 mattress when I came across this. Examine the reviews on a number of different websites. And, to be honest, the price was a big help. The mattress arrived, and UPS did a good job of battering the box. So I was braced for disaster, especially after reading reviews that mentioned oil stains, odors, and tears. Fortunately, it was only the outer box that was damaged, as there was an inner box containing the mattress. It was perfectly sealed in its plastic and came with an easy-to-understand pamphlet that explained the mattress's sides and what to do with them. Since my last pregnancy, I've become extremely sensitive to smells, and this had none. I let it sit for 48 hours, but it was ready to eat after only 16 hours. Even the directions state that repeated washings, as well as washing on high heat or using fabric softener, will cause the cover to lose its waterproof properties. Providing advice on a sheet I sleep on a cotton sheet with a water-resistant mattress protector. I'll buy it again for others at this price and because I like it so much. My 11-month-old has never slept well, let alone by herself, so I can't comment on sleep quality. However, since it is time for a change, this is the first step. It's firm but soft, similar to many other memory foam mattresses, including mine. For a newborn, I am confident in it and wish I had started with it sooner. Not at all loud or obnoxious. I was really looking forward to getting these mattresses because they had "dual" sides for the various stages of a baby's development. The price, the waterproofing, and the positive feedback were all excellent. Let me just say that my newborn adores it, but I have no idea which side it is on. We are now dealing with the following issues:br>br>1. Our crib is too small for it. Sloan model by Graco. To get it to fit, we'll have to cram it in. 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br No instructions were included with the mattress on how to separate the two sides, but I suppose that's not a big deal. br>br>3. The waterproof shell fit like a glove and appeared to be a good fit. Until our first diaper blowout or leak. I followed the care instructions to the letter and washed as directed. When I say it shrank, believe me when I say it shrank! It shrank like a fricking fricking fricking frick 4. br>br> Then we had an accident, which caused the "waterproof" covering to leak and dampen the actual BED. Is it possible that it will shrink even more after being washed? It DID, after all. 5. br>br> Our crib sheets don't fit our mattress. br>br>Every time I have to change or wash the bedding, I get frustrated. I'm not sure if I'll replace it or not; my son sleeps perfectly well in it, and we did spend a significant amount of money on it. I'll look for a new waterproof cover and see if that helps.

I made a porch swing cushion out of this mattress! It's incredible! It's so cozy, it's perfect for a nap! It lulled me to sleep "as if I were a baby"! It's fantastic, and I'd recommend it for this use. It was a great investment! It has velcro closures because I made my own cover for it. My husband and I built this swing for our new mountain home, and here's a picture of the finished product. Every day, we sit here and take in the breathtaking views of the mountains.
