It can hold 36 DVDs in the vertical position, but DVDs fall through in the horizontal position.

Poor quality control and junk

These dvd racks came in a two-pack and will be mounted on the sides of our entertainment center. One isn't square, and it's not straight when mounted with a level along the top. We couldn't figure out why until we examined it with a metal framing square and discovered that it had been welded at an angle. I like how they look, but for $50, I was expecting a certain level of quality. We discussed recounting it but decided against it because we didn't want to deal with the drywall repairs. I am unable to endorse this product.

It saves a lot of room

It looks fantastic when hung on the wall. Installing it was a breeze. Solid. There are even tools (and a level) included in the package. It saves a lot of room. My only criticism is that if the blocks aren't filled (9 dvds), the entire stack appears to fall against the wall. It's a delicate balancing act, but we enjoyed it so much that we ordered more.

Hanging on the wall, it looks fantastic. DVDs, on the other hand, are prone to falling off the shelf. A support piece would be nice, and spot welding on the front of the product is easily visible and should be done better.

When attempting to, media such as Blu-ray discs and DVDs fall through the cracks

Between the wall and the shelf's edge, there is far too much space. When trying to mount it horizontally, media such as Blu-rays and DVDs fall right through. To keep the dvds from falling off the shelf, I had to slip an old cardboard box underneath.

Minimalistic DVD/CD rack that is both attractive and functional

These dvd/cd racks are absolutely fantastic. Given how much these used to cost when IKEA still manufactured them, a star has been taken off because it feels a little like extortion, but they are still great racks.

Lerberg CD/DVD Wall Shelf from Ikea

I bought these in the hopes that they would match a pair of Ikea Lerberg CD/DVD Wall Shelves I bought a few years ago. The original IKEA ones were being sold on ebay for exorbitant shipping costs. I got these in the hopes that they wouldn't stand out, and they don't. In terms of size and style, they are a perfect match. These are also a good option if you don't have any and need a floating wall storage solution for a small DVD collection.
