Selected User Reviews For Vision Audio Tower from Nexera, Black
For my simple Amplifer/Receiver, I needed a nice simple audio cabinet. So I ordered this because it seemed to be the only thing I could find that fit the bill. br>br>Received it quickly and in good condition, and it was simple to put together. It's also nice and sturdy, at least for what it is. It's IKEA-style flat-pack particle board furniture, but it's more reasonably priced, and I'm reviewing it accordingly. The only drawback was that the shelf holes did not provide enough room for me to store records vertically in the cabinet. So I got out a pencil, a 3/16 drillbit, and a level to make some new ones while making sure I was plumb. br>br>I'm very happy now that my headphones and manual are safely stored on the bottom small shelf, and my new record shelf is performing admirably! I'm not deducting any stars because it never claimed to be able to do what I needed it to do.
It appears to be solid, but there is a missing part and one part is drilled backwards. A single piece of hardware was also missing - a replacement has been requested I've contacted Nexera customer service, and I'm hoping that the issues will be resolved soon. Apart from these inconvenient and time-consuming issues, the stand appears to be in good working order. designed and built to last. We'll see how long it takes to receive parts and the finished product once it's all put together. The rating will either rise (or fall). I'm guessing this was a problem with the whole thing, but it's difficult to say.
It also fits a full-sized receiver. Overall, I think it's fantastic. I placed an order for two units at the same time and received both. br>The packaging was good enough that none of the packed items were damaged when I noticed one of the boxes had a tear in it from shipping. br>Taking the Audio Tower out of the box was simple, and there were clear instructions included. br>br>Assembly took about an hour because I took my time setting everything up in my workspace and slowly putting the tower together. br>It took me less than half an hour to put the second one together. br>Several steps in the assembly require two people and basic hand tools. br>br>The included hardware is of excellent quality and easily fits into the pre-drilled holes. Perfectly cut holes. This unit's engineering must have been meticulously planned, as evidenced during and after installation. br>My only criticism of the hardware/assembly is that one of the door hinges required several attempts to get the proper placement and power to screw into the wood. The location of the door hinges limits the amount of space available on the bottom shelf, but only if you have very large items. br>The wood is standard MDF boards with a mat black lacquer that wraps around the whole thing (for the one I ordered). br>The unit's base is made of double-thick wood that is extremely durable. The finished Audio Tower looks impressive, sleek, and blends in with the rest of my furniture once it's put together. br>It can easily fit two XBOX ONE X consoles, as well as an Onkyo TX-70 sound system. RZ 800 Receiver (This is a very large receiver) with roughly an inch of clearance between each side, an 8 port switch, 2 controllers, 2 headsets, and other connectors, games, and so on. br>br>The back piece that is included is thin and removable if more airflow is required. br>At some point, I plan to add active cooling in the form of a couple 120mm fans, as my equipment gets warm inside the Audio Tower, but not to the point of being dangerous. Would I tell a friend about this? br>br> Yes. At some point, I will also purchase a matching TV stand.
9. 5/10.
After it has been fully assembled, it feels solid. It only takes one person to put it together, and the instructions are simple to follow. The particle board is less expensive than expected, and the hardware is made of plastic. It might not be able to withstand a lot of movement. Because I dislike how the door slams shut, I had to put felt strips inside the corners. It was extremely beneficial to have the feeling. The back opening is open on both sides, which makes wiring much easier. It was difficult to remove a film from the window.
I needed a very specific cabinet to house my components beneath a wall-mounted television. It couldn't be too tall or too wide, but it had to be big enough to hold my receiver and all of its wires. I wanted it to have some hidden areas as well as windows so that IR remotes could be used. It needed to be ventilated and have a relatively open back. It also had to have a contemporary look and be in a color that complemented the rest of my decor. This checked off pretty much every box. br>br>It arrived in excellent condition, with no signs of shipping damage. Nexera has done an excellent job. The instructions were simple to follow and the assembly was simple. I only gave it four stars because the legs bothered me. I would have preferred something with a little more style to break up the slab of wood appearance when viewed from the side; also, while the feet on each corner are adjustable, it's still a little wobbly, and when it wobbles, the door gets out of alignment. I didn't deduct any points for materials because I knew what I was getting, but this isn't fine furniture.
For my surround sound theater, this is an excellent audio cabinet. What I like best about this cabinet is how sturdy it is, with a metal field trip with class on the front. It doesn't appear to be cheap in the least. The instructions were simple to follow, and the package was probably one of the best I've ever seen. Sturdy, strong, and fashionable. br>br>Most importantly, it has an open area in the back so your audio appliances don't get too hot. Unlike most cabinets, this one has a well-designed back. designed an open area while keeping the cabinet's sturdiness from wobbling.
This was purchased to store my PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, as well as their associated accessories. I like how there are two windows, so you can see your equipment inside while hiding everything else on the lower shelf. Cabinet was well packaged with no damage upon arrival, despite the box having a large dent in one of the corners, and there was plenty of ventilation on the backside, which it appears most cabinets don't provide. After putting the unit together, I wiped it down with a damp cloth to remove any remaining glue marks and dust. This cabinet has made me very happy!.
