Whenever my speakers need to be used, these stands work just as well as any others.
The stands are slanted so as to be good seating pros. There are speakers in cinemas.
As I'm familiar with the sr9040 model, I would not let you know whether you got lucky or not. This is the second time I have contacted the company by email, and it was super quick and the response was excellent.
If you want to walk on them, they are not very good to anchor to the floor. The spikes help carpet, but they're not really beneficial. stand aren't as heavy as you'd expect and the speakers make them much too heavy.

The delivery arrived at the crack of dawn Monday! I ordered it late Sunday. Nevertheless, there is no guarantee that these stands will be worth more than $100 apiece. I only spent the extra money on the exact thing that fit my Definitive Tech 600s as a Definitive Tech 600. As for the exact match, I had other standing that need to be upgraded for the speakers, so I decided to splurge on those. Over 100 pairs of those wires go above the base but do not come up through the pole, I'm going to gasp in shock at these facts. The wire must first run across THE base before it can pass through the pole. After it has come to the pole, a few inches before entering, it will come down again. This is basically a stupid deal for a setup of just two speaker stands. If there were wires running across what would otherwise be a clean, attractive, and simple base then I'd take the next step out and look for alternatives. Consequently, wiring cannot be completely hidden under carpets or carpets, nor can it be completely concealed under furniture or couches. They will have to come out over a cleaner and more solid black base. Simple design fixes are annoying, and this one is no exception. You're actually getting a design flaw with these. Although the one screw in the bottom of the pole underneath the base is helpful in keeping things tight and sturdy, it won't ensure that they won't slide out all the way through to the base. Keeping things at a distance will cause it to loosen. Without an open threaded pole inserted into the bottom of the base, it would have been better.
How do I write g instructions! The stands are quite nice for a long time. Even in a small area my surroundings are accentuated. there's one key fault with the enclosed instructions: Cranked to cradle the speaker's shape, the top plate is curved. As a result, the speaker leans forward rather than back. That is certainly not what they instructed us for. Having a larger screw hole at the stem and lower speaker is a plus because the post screw can now sit in correctly in the plate instead of the plate being centered. Definitive Tech speakers were not the result of the writing of these instructions, just the effort. The reason why I gave this product a four star rating is largely because of this.
It's fun to wear with my 800's mounted to them. When I initially connected the speaker cable to the stands with the supplied cable holders, I had the speaker cable run through the center. Since then I have run it straight out of the stands through the other cables. The new look is a lot more appealing and takes less time than it did before. With the banana plugs cut, remove your cable to place above your speakers and fish out your cable from the bottom of the post hole, use needle nose pliers to pull you back to your speakers after reconnecting the banana plus. Tada!.
It is difficult to assemble. With the speaker plugged in, it is not very stable. The materials are of high quality. Tipping occurs frequently on these machines but their performance is okay.
I found it very easy to assemble. They are certainly not very stable because of the large amount of speakers. They're going tumbling down, just a touch of paint. You'll likely have more stability under the 600 speakers or put it on carpets with spikes for better traction. There's nothing wrong with them. It is super easy to set up. They have rubber feet or spikes made out of carpets or hardwood. Upping the pipes for cleaning is an important part of the job. Unless I can find a great deal of weight for them, I'll have to build one or two sets. Poor performance at this price level.
They are made of sturdy materials and made of strong construction. There is no point complaining at all from anyone else. As a only complaint, I wish they could adjustable so their ratings are all 5 stars. It was easy to see how I got all five stars after buying them. The following clue will reveal your answer. Ensure that the speaker wire has passed through before installing the wire clips. Just because they are clipped in and not intended to come back out doesn't mean they should come out again. It's because the wires you are going to feed are embedded with plastic-end ends that should get caught on after clip-in. As soon as you buy the product, you will not have an understanding of it.
A 42" plasma TV home theater system that I have in my living room uses Definitive Technology ProMonitor 800's. Def Tech 800 solved that problem, since their speakers are smaller than most speakers in flat panel TVs. These speakers leave a void in the sound, as do most speakers in flat panel TV's. In addition to sound, the speakers look well and look like they hold their listeners ears at the same height as listeners ears while sitting on the couch, due to its matching speaker stand. These will last a very long time because they are made of high-quality materials.
Would a more stable base plate serve the purpose?? Pricey.
