Surface that is sturdy, durable, and easy to clean You've done a good job. Despite this, the packaging in which the product is shipped is not strong enough to protect it. Both the table top and the packaging are broken. Bases are quite heavy, and since they come in one box, the package may not be able to handle the shipping process without damage. A second purchase of this table has been made by me. I ordered from Wayfair and it was delivered to me You can order Amazon only once. This was the case both times. Parts of the table were bouncing around loose (some were missing) without sufficient protection, causing scratches on the metal base parts & shins. Usually the tabletop is made of wood. There is no way I wanted to pack up another falling apart box and load up the heavy item to return a second time. I am living with its imperfections, so I am just accepting that. It will help if there is more than one table top) and better wrapping of the parts to solve this problem. You might like to look a bit further if you are trying to find the perfect table.
I really like the look and the stability of this table. There is no top weight or flimsiness to it. There is no doubt that this is a commercial product. In any case, it was extremely hard to assemble using a standard phillips screwdriver as the 8 wood screws could not be inserted easily. The only tool you need will be a power Phillips screwdriver. On one of the four legs there was a good 3'' area of highly pitted metal instead of smooth metal, while the furniture overall is very attractive.
A few minor assembly steps are required. If you ignore the useless assembly instructions, then forget about it. Luckily, it's clear what has to be done. Both the base and top of this table are very strong. I cannot think of a better.
The product was damaged when it arrived There was a scratch on the table top of the box. The box was in good shape, but the table top was in poor condition. In reviewing the return policy, I found there were some items that would need to be re-examined Returning the product in a box and shipping it. Considering all of the items were removed from the box and the box was trashed before cleaning the table top and seeing the scratch, this was disappointing. In addition to that, the product seems to be of decent quality, in which case it won.
One of the tables I bought has a missing center post and I would like the shipper to simply send me the center post only, thanks in advance.
The table here is of very high quality and solid construction. Paying a high price does not always guarantee a good product.
