I believe the 2 tables are separate. Nevertheless, even though the middle one is a little shorter, the end ones are perfect as end tables. These are very nice quality, and they came packed very well so they didn't scratch. My heart is full of love for

It is a little uneven, but nothing to worry about.
This product has been given 4 stars rather than 5 because in the product description the seller states that it has been hand-finished with a Beach Brown stain and a protective NC lacquer to highlight the grain and the uniqueness of each piece of furniture. We received the items unfinished, but we were able to tell when we received them. Our crew had to seal the surface with four different coats because it was rough and scratchy. Aside from that, the desks arrived in perfect condition. It's the first time I've ever seen anything packaged so well when I've ordered from Amazon for more than 15 years. The parts were not lost or dented in any way. This was a very impressive achievement for me.
It's the perfect size to go next to my couch It was important that the table was tall enough so I wouldn't have to reach down to it, and the smaller one is okay as well. Likewise, I find them to be well worth their price.
