My daughter at four years old received this as a Christmas present. It is easy to put together. It has a special meaning to her. I read other reviews in which there were broken or chipped pieces, but I did not find that with this. I am very happy with my.
My grand daughter was thrilled to receive such a happy piece. Her excitement was over the top when she opened the present. A sturdy vanity stool was the centerpiece of this room. It made her feel very grown up to have a three piece mirror. I'm glad I ordered it just in time it's worth every penny, and she'll make great use of it for years to come. She's now in first grade, so my timing was perfect. The fake makeup I got her for the little drawer was also a hit with her. Choosing this gift for a girl will be an excellent decision. It is easy to put together. You should definitely check it out.
My time was about 30 minutes, half of which was spent just ensuring that we had all the screws we were supposed to have We did our best! This is one product my daughter will be able to use for longer than a toy makeup table since it was not broken like some of the reviews said. My 3 1/2 yr old daughter who is thicker and taller than average (58lbs) loved it. My only slightly negative observation is the mirrors were a bit difficult to remove the plastic from. Aside from that, it's a perfect fit and feels solid. Adding a few decals to it was my way of personalizing it for her.
An excellent product that is well worth the price. Honestly, I barely looked at the instructions, I was so anxious to get started that I was dreading the build. All in all, everything went smoothly and I put it together in no time.
This is the quality of the product and the price is comparable. Unfortunately I found this exact same product at Sam's Club for $30 less than I paid at Best Buy. Furthermore, I just completed assembling it and I found it not to be well constructed. In places where the wood should touch (which I cannot fix) there are wide gaps. Since Christmas is so close, there is nothing I can do about it. My daughter wanted this for Christmas and if I don't put it under the tree Christmas morning, I will have failed my role as a mother. There is nothing good about the product at all.
In the end, I had to find a different style for her since the pink sold out before I could buy it. The fact that this was too small for her actually worked out for the best. The student is in the 100th percentile in terms of height (roughly 4'0" at 4), but she is taller and cannot fit on the stool when sitting on it. I think the size is good for the 3 year old girl who is 39 inches tall, but I think she will outgrow it sooner The only thing I was unimpressed with was the mirrors and the fact they are not connected, even though the size is great Instead of a foldable mirror, each of the three mirrors is a separate one that is screwed into the table so you can't reposition, close up, or remove them unless they are unscrewed. I probably would never have noticed it except the table I ended up purchasing for the 4 year old is considerably larger and the sides of the tri-fold are higher than the table I purchased for her. It is possible to reposition and close the mirror. I think this is a lovely make-up. Compared to another table I purchased at the same time for the same price, it was better quality and larger in size. She cannot grow into this table or use it for years to come like her 4 year old cousin will be able to do with her make-up table. A table that has been topped.
We bought something much more sturdy for her and that wouldn't break the first time she used it after discovering that the vanity was only 25" tall, only weighed less than a pound, and was made of thin plastic and cardboard. Snowflakes adorn the table and the drawer is equipped with a crystal pull, giving the piece a Frozen theme. adorned the door with some Frozen vinyl decals to complete the look, and our daughter thought it was a really cool idea. Her favorite part of her day is to stand at her vanity in her room and put on her makeup. There is nothing to worry about- Built to last for a few years before she is too big for it, the chair is sturdy and built well. The price is definitely worth it!.
During this time, she will sit here and do her makeup for about an hour.
