My five year old will love it - We apologize for the mess and ask for your understanding The table is one of her favorite places to play. I love it because it is so sturdy, and I can easily wash it since it is laminated all over the thing. A little tricky to assemble, but it took about 60 minutes It would have been easier to accomplish the task in less time. It is a perfect height for a group of this age.

It's pretty to look at the natural wood and a lot of fun to paint it yellow. It seems like the bench and table are made up of really solid wood, even though they are made from light wood (but they are definitely made of wood and not particle board). While the directions could have been a little clearer, especially for people who aren't very familiar with tools and hardware, the steps were easy to follow. It's best to take everything off and align the parts exactly according to the pictures so that the glossy paint faces outward during painting the lower portions. I would not recommend going against the recommendation for long-term use, as it says it can hold up to 150 lbs. We tested it out and it definitely holds more, though I wouldn't suggest going against the recommendation. I couldn't be happier with how it is going for my 22-month-old twins Despite their wide spread, they have room to move around. To give you an idea of size, my kids are 33" tall and about 25 lbs.
