It can't be locked down or locked up. It simply folds into itself. My daughter uses hers on a daily basis and there have been no issues. It's well-made and durable!

I bought it for my princess doggie because she likes to sit by me while I work and dog beds are "beneath" her, so I got her a chair like mine. I honestly didn't know what to expect and figured if the worst happened, I'd return it. So, I unboxed it and was astounded to discover that it was solidly constructed, much like an adult chair. Not junk. It could use a little more cushioning, but I can live with that. To be honest, I can't imagine any child over the age of three doing it, but it's fantastic.

The material is soft, and the couch is beautiful. velvety. Although it appears to be a safe option, it is not always so. Because it isn't always stable, it must lean against a wall. It had tipped over sideways and backwards on my child.

It is a huge hit with her. My five-year-old is also vying for it. It's a little big for it, but he thinks it'll be fine. Cleaning is a breeze, and the fabric is soft and durable.

My daughter loves it, but I don't think it's as comfortable as it appears; more padding would have been nice, but I'd still buy another because she loves to sit and play in it (I have a one-year-old).
