I'm not sure how big a bushel is, but mine has enough room for 8 blankets/throws right now.
As stated in the product description, soft cotton is woven into rope.

I didn't bother with the restoration instructions that came with it. I simply hung it on a hook, and the majority of the wrinkles were smoothed out overnight. The cotton rope material looks and feels fantastic, and it appears to be well-made and attractive. You could keep it near the front door for shoes or hats, or in the family room for toys; it does not appear cheap or shabby in any way. I'm relieved to learn that I can machine wash it (though they do warn against using a dryer). I like the simple design, organic cotton, and low price, and I'm trying to figure out how many more I should order.
When we get into bed, we need a place to put all those extra, unnecessary, but lovely decorative pillows. Mine is a decent size, with three small pillows and a blanket. I couldn't be happier because it went with my decor. There will be no more flinging them on the floor or leaping into bed with them. It had some heavy creases from the packaging, but I ironed them out (as instructed) and they were gone in no time. It has taken on a nice shape. It's thick and nice. Also of note: Who remembers the movie where Ben Stiller, I believe, screams about how much time is wasted putting pillows on and off the bed? That would be my husband if I were married.
This rope basket is far superior to the one it replaced in terms of quality. I'm blown away by the size (it's a big basket!). ), but the quality has left a lasting impression on me. Our previous basket was purchased on Amazon and promptly disintegrated; this one, on the other hand, is made of significantly thicker cotton fabric and has significantly better handles. We'll use it to store blankets, but we're going to get a grey one to store all of the dog toys!.
For a variety of applications, I highly recommend it! This basket was purchased to store throws and small blankets beneath a console table. When the basket arrived, I was very pleased with how it "felt" and looked. I prefer the woven handles to the two rope handles that protrude from the sides of other baskets I've seen. Because it's a floppy basket, if you order it and want it to keep its round shape, you'll have to help it. I solved this by cutting a couple of thick cardboard pieces, rounded to fit in the bottom, and stuffing them in, and it shaped up nicely into the circular shape I wanted. I suppose you could cut your poster board that way if you wanted it to be longer. Anyway, it's beautiful, holds its shape, and I've never seen a prettier, higher-quality woven basket for less than $30!.
I'm hoping it goes on for a long time. It's very light. I'm going to attempt it. It appears to be adequate as a laundry basket for clean clothes just removed from the dryer. My home has hardwood floors throughout. I needed something that was both large and wouldn't scratch my floors.
but . Makes an excellent toy "chest" - If the "little ones" fall into/against it, it will be sturdy but pliable enough to prevent injuries. I haven't been able to get it to hold its shape yet, but I will continue to try. br>Newsflash - I used felt animals to decorate the basket, then filled it with four children's books, baby blankets, and other items. It wasn't overstuffed or cumbersome in any way. Unfortunately, when I lifted it, three rows of the "threads" anchoring one of the handles ripped apart, so I had to give it as is, but I'll have to retrieve it to repair it. What a letdown!.
It's a beautifully crafted basket that's also quite large! I ignored the dimensions in favor of the colors, and I was forced to return it because it didn't fit in the space I required. It's a lovely blue color, and it's well woven, so it'll last a long time. It would have been perfect for my space if it had been possible.
I bought the XXL size, and the colors are just as vibrant and lovely as they appear in the product photos. The basket is very sturdy, but it does not retain its shape as shown in the product photo; this is my only criticism. If the basket isn't full, the sides will collapse. That has made it easier for my puppy to push the sides down and get into the basket (she would otherwise be too short).
