It would fit the dimensions, but I wouldn't put a baby on it unless it was anchored to the wall because it's a tip hazard, and it's not as tall as a changing table should be. I'm 5'6", so changing a baby would be difficult for me.
The dresser comes with assembly instructions, but you can't spin it or the parts to get the small drawers on the right side.
There is no extension of the legs.
You should be able to get rid of the smell after a day or two of airing it out.

Obviously, they can't support a lot of weight, but that's fine because the fabric drawers are thick and sturdy. It was very simple to put together; just be careful not to get the metal panels backwards (which I did, and had to undo and restart), but it was still completed in under 20 minutes. It's a well-made product. The top board holes already have anchors in them, so it's very sturdy and secure (a big improvement over IKEA furniture, lol). I really like how the drawers have simple handles. It's extremely sturdy, and the height can be adjusted. It was a $22 investment that paid off handsomely!.
I discovered that the drawers do not fit in the frame after completing the entire assembly process. The drawers are about 8 inches tall, with a 6 inch inside frame. To cut a long story short, it won't work! I'm not going to try this again, either because mine is a bad design or because they're all bad designs.
It's simple to put together and very durable. It is, however, quite small. It was nothing like I had expected. And therein lies the issue: I imagined a seven-drawer full-size dresser. It appears to be child's playhouse furniture. As a result, I had to place a second order. In the future, I'll be looking for dimensions. It's really cute.
It was so simple to put together that my 11-year-old son assisted me. (It is, however, very nice) READ AND LOOK AT THE INSTRUCTIONS! We had to disassemble and reassemble because the legs were on the wrong side, and it's smaller than I expected, so I'll have to buy another just to fit my daughter's clothes. My only complaint is that the wood top is slightly damaged, but it's otherwise lovely and adorable. I'm going to place another order.
It was very simple to put together. It's on the small side, but it's adequate for our needs. I'm putting it outside for a few days because the drawers smell like chemicals, which makes me a little nervous about putting my baby's clothes in them. However, it is far superior to the plastic drawer sets. I'm not sure what else you could expect from a Chinese product.

It's a sturdy dresser that's simple to put together. It was self-assembled by us. Only thing to remember is to pay close attention to which way the parts are screwed in.
I wanted something small and cute for baby stuff, so this is perfect. I added some felt flowers to it to finish it off. It's a nice canvas to work with.
