It's all made of wood; you'll have to assemble it with screws and hindges for the top, but it's all made of wood.

Cheap pressed wood and hardware that won't last long, even if it's used by a toddler. Look elsewhere if you want to save money and time.
When I first opened the box, I discovered it was filled with cheap styrfoam-type insulation. This resulted in pellets being strewn all over the place. After I took it out of the box, I literally vacuumed every part off, then the floor, my feet, my sweater, and so on; it smells like chemicals. Allowing the pieces to 'air out,' as well as using all-natural ingredients, seemed like a good idea. fully assembled and with the lid open to allow air to circulate. It's a revolting odor. I haven't put any toys in it because I'm sure my kids' stuffed animals will smell the same.
Although it appears to be very cute, the design is a little sloppy in person. I like that the top does not slam shut or need to be held open, and that it does not pinch small fingers. I think it's a good size for a kid's room, and it's very decorative; we love it and have no regrets buying it. It's been almost a year since we've used it, and it's still in excellent condition.
This toy chest has exceeded our expectations, and it was simple to assemble. My one-year-old enjoys pointing to the animals and smiling at them. Once it's open, you have to close it yourself to avoid pinching your fingers. My only criticism is the paint job; around some of the animals, there is a brighter white paint than the white of the clouds, which appears to have been used to cover up mistakes or something, but depending on the lighting, it isn't very noticeable. We also purchased the bookshelf and will most likely purchase some of the other adorable patterns in the future for our future children.
This is ideal for children who have a large number of toys. It also stands up to our two-year-old, who sits or stands on it all of the time.
As others have pointed out, the "hand painting" could be improved.
They grossly overcharged me and did not provide me with a phone number to contact them. a huge financial waste.
Exactly as described and pictured. Our toddler loves it because it's sturdy, cute, and it has a secure lid.
