In fact, the second and third shelves contain small lips on their backs in order to prevent items from falling out. On the top shelf, you can see the blue sky background that extends upwards. I am very happy with the purchase, even though it isn't the biggest bookshelf.

There was a problem with a shelf. I think this would make a wonderful bookshelf, and it looks lovely. It was a gift for a baby shower and we intended to display the book cards on it after it was assembled. Only problem was that, as we were assembling it, we noticed that one of the boards was split on one side and that it would likely snap under weight. Having attempted to unscrew the board from the rest of the shelf so we could request a replacement, we discovered that the screw has been stripped and cannot be tightened. Currently, the top shelf cannot be moved from the base due to a broken support. In a week's time, I contacted to request replacements of both parts (luckily, we were able to separate the rest without incident) and I was assured they would ship them as soon as possible. Since I am yet to receive replacement parts and the shower is tomorrow, I cannot use the shower today. The last time I called for a tracking number was three days ago, and no one answered. There's no doubt I'm not a happy customer and would be even more upset if I had to deal with an $80 worth of shelf parts that I could not assemble.
Although I was skeptical at first, I am glad I made the purchase. This size is suitable for children between the ages of two and four. Despite some improvements, the "wood" quality could still be improved. This was a consequence of the soft wood used in the assembly process. A simple map that is easy to follow. I liked the design and the looks of the product, but was disappointed with the size. That's a very tiny thing. Interestingly, on the product video it doesn't appear to be as small, but I now realize it is because the rest of the video is also very small. The unit is so big that I don't even know how many toys we can store in it. Although it was easy to assemble, came with wall anchors, and was brightly colored, the quality was not great. I am amazed. It took me a long time to put together, and I'm pretty sure IKEA gave someone some pointers when they developed the instructions. Even though it seems simple, somehow, somehow, it turned out to be more difficult than it should have been. I wasn't expecting it to be as small as it was, but it would be just right This is a super cute toy that is sturdy once it's put together. If you stub your toe, you'll lose it. Don't put it where you might stub your toe. Ours have been up for several months and we've taken books on and off constantly, yet it still looks brand new.
It looks so much better in person, because the colors are vibrant and the animal faces incredibly sweet. There were no problems assembling the cabinet as all the pieces matched up and all the hardware was clearly packaged and exactly where it needed to be. My husband and I both loved it so much, we ordered the matching table and two chairs too. It is a pleasure to recommend the products of this vendor.
In addition to three shelves and a drawer, we like that the unit has a lock on it. For safety reasons, we keep all of our art supplies and workbooks in a drawer away from our 1 yr old and 2 year old, as well as a few other items (think sorting sets) there. It basically refers to anything for the mature child 3 years of age. Access to all 3 shelves is available from both the 2 & 3 Three is an ideal age to pick out your own books, so it is perfect. This is a very sturdy object, even without being filled. While it is not as simple to assemble as some children's furniture, it is far more durable. There are no cracks or anything like that. I expected the product to be more sturdy, but it turned out to be quite okay. The strange thing is, these pieces of furniture do not come with assembly instructions. I think they could have put something with it. It's not that hard to figure out, but they could have made it more obvious. Their website mentions that they received a link to it however, I was unable to locate it. The best I've ever seen. On it are cute pictures. Getting to fill it up is going to be so much fun! Make sure it is attached to the wall as the drawer will be top heavy as it is pulled out.
