Hello, yes, these trays are extremely durable. The tray is secured in place by a metal bar. I have to say that these tables are well worth the money; they're well-made and heavy, to the point where they're almost too heavy, but we love them. Two of the tables had some nicks in the tops and one of the legs had some damage, but I had no intention of returning them. I hope this has been of assistance.
The weight of these tables is considerable. You might be able to carry one of them, but carrying all of them would be quite difficult. Our set has made me extremely happy.
It was only a week before I got mine.

Beautiful wood, sturdy table, generous size; however, when I removed the bag from the table, a flurry of termite wings erupted. We examined the table's bottom and discovered small holes and white powder, indicating that insects were drilling in. Tables had to be thrown out, and termite spray had to be sprayed in our living room and hallway (which would have to be repeated if eggs fell out, as spray only works on hatched bugs). We didn't order a replacement because we didn't want to risk more infested tables.
Buying furniture online is always a gamble because you can't feel or touch it. Packaging and shipping must be taken care of. These trays turned out to be a fantastic purchase. It's sturdy and comes with a stand, and it's in the color I wanted. There were no damages in the shipment because it was well packaged. It's simple to put together, especially if you've worked with TV trays before. I would strongly suggest it.
Tables arrived quickly, and assembly was minimal, with only the rack holding the tables requiring assembly. They're very sturdy, appear to be well-made, and add character to a room. One of the beautiful table's legs sheared after 7 months, far beyond any expectation of a warranty (see photo). I contacted the manufacturer, explained what had happened, and requested a replacement part, not expecting much in the way of a warranty. This is where the superior service came into play. They expressed their disappointment with the product's failure, but they were unable to send me a replacement part because the legs are riveted and could not be replaced. They had no other choice but to provide a free replacement table. A week later, I received another table, this time beautifully packaged. Now that's what I call customer service!br>br>Their pride in providing a superior product was evident in their willingness to make the customer whole, as well as the professionalism and understanding of the agent I spoke with. In my opinion, the manufacturer "Winsome" has proven its worth! br>br>Winsome and the Winsome Store will be the first place I go for any future home items I may require, and you should as well.
I'll have to refinish the tables because the original finish is so thin and flaky that sanding scratches can still be seen in the top. I'd expect it to be finished properly for this much money! The teak wood and fit are excellent; unfortunately, the final step is lacking. Only one thin coat, which is blotchy and does not evenly cover the top. If I hadn't had to redo the finish, I would have given it five stars.
Not the Amazon quality I had hoped for. Manufacturing needs to do a better job of quality control.
These are some really nice wooden tables, aren't they? However, I did notice some complaints about color and finish consistency in the reviews. Yup. Mine as well, but not in sufficient quantity to return. Others have complained that they are too heavy and difficult to open and close. Yes, but that's because that's how I prefer it. It has a solid feel to it. Finally, some tables 'fell apart,' according to other witnesses. That has happened to me as well. (A piece of stability was removed. ) ) The dowels were simply reinserted with a dab of wood glue. As good as it gets. New? They're new, so that shouldn't be the case. Purchase them if you aren't too picky and handy. For what you get, the price is reasonable.
Very nice product; there was a manufacturing issue that was quickly resolved by the company.
We've been using it every day and haven't noticed any signs of wear or flaws. The table top is a good size. Wife is so fond of them that she asked me to get plastic place mats to protect the surface, and it has been knocked over a couple of times by accident, hitting the coffee table with no damage to the table. We take care not to place hot items on the table because we don't know if the finish will blush. We do occasionally use a potholder to place something very hot on the unit and are happy to put forth the effort to keep it looking new.
