We were notified when the item would be delivered and the assembly was very straightforward. You just need to assemble the top and attach it to the base so that it is ready to use. It was a bit scratched on the pool cues and there were some small scratches on the table base, but this is to be expected when freight is shipped. My game room is looking very nice with it.

I assembled it myself and found it to be very easy and intuitive. I found one part of the instructions difficult to comprehend in relation to the drawer stop. I put the drawer in then corrected it when I put it back in. I positioned the small piece of hardware the instructions directed me to so that it would function as a drawer stop. I was satisfied with the packaging as far as preventing damage is concerned, however, the table was covered with tiny pieces of foam and dust, so the table required a lot of cleanup. In our opinion, the drawing board top isn't suitable with this price range, as it isn't able to sit on top of the table without sliding around, since it does not have a way of locking into the table top. This cannot be held securely in place by a lip or similar engineering. I can live with the minor issue, but it's still a very good value.

Unboxing it took us a few minutes. There is a lot of weight on the tables. There are, however, assembly instructions as well as parts There was just a Phillips head screwdriver to be had. Despite the difficulty maneuvering the heavy weight, it only took us less than an hour to assemble it. My husband and I are in our seventies. The product appears to be in perfect condition. I had a lot of fun with the grandkids.
