We have a small living room and needed a coffee table in front of our couch that could 1) be used as flexible seating in an emergency, 2) safely hold a bowl of popcorn or even a mug of coffee, and 3) was not too large in scale in our Victorian living room. br>br>This is appropriate. The seat is tufted but firm enough that a mug placed carefully on the surface will not fall off. The material isn't leather (at this low price), but it's still appealing. I can see how simple it would be to recover this bench if you are at all handy. The upholstery could be easily changed by simply unscrewing the top and removing it. I like the clean look of the frame, which appears to be quite sturdy. It doesn't appear to be heavy, which is aided by the open space beneath it. It's long enough to cover almost the entire seating length of our sofa, allowing everyone to put their feet up. br>br> It appeals to us greatly. It's a good deal at this price.

The room is "undone" and in the process of being finished, but this bench is unbeatable in terms of style and price. For my entry, I'd like a second. It's sturdy and looks the part, but I wish it was also available in black. The instructions were a disaster. I was able to sort my own assembly in my head that made more sense after reading the directions from beginning to end a couple of times. Although it isn't difficult to put together, I believe the instructions were confusing rather than helpful. So many mistakes in the instructions, but a fantastic product that is well worth the money!.

But it's true! br>I would only use this in a low-traffic area because I'm not sure how well it will hold up to a lot of use. It's perfect for us because it's at the foot of our (king) bed.

This bench appeals to me greatly. It's a good size, and I like that it's the right size for 13x13 storage cubes, which gives me more storage options. It was simple to put together and appears to be quite durable. br>br>My only gripe is that the leather texture looks like it was printed on the fabric. It still looks great, but up close, it's clear that it's not leather or even a faux leather/pleather; instead, it's a regular fabric that's been dyed to look like leather, if that makes sense. Take a look at the image to get a better idea of what I'm talking about. It bothered me at first, but it still looks good overall, and the tufting adds a little something to the look.

I was expecting a camel/cognac color, but it's simply brown. Ugh. I overcame my apprehensions and completed the project. I made it all the way to the end and was about to attach the top to the base when I realized the holes didn't line up. At all. I contacted the bench's customer service, who informed me that this is a common occurrence with this bench. WHY DON'T YOU CORRECT THE PROBLEM OR STOP SELLING DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS? So now I have to disassemble it, repack it, and transport it to a return center. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE TO SPEND YOUR MONEY.

Aside from the leather bench topper, each piece had a flaw in terms of appearance. This item has paint chips all over it right out of the box. If I hadn't been in such a hurry to use this bench for a party, I would have asked for it to be returned. br>br>The pieces are welded together in a very sloppy manner. On the inside of every metal piece, there is stuff rattling around. I expected a thicker gauge of metal than what I got - Don't get me wrong: it can hold enough weight for its intended purpose, but the whole thing feels a little flimsy. br>br>My recommendation is to spend a few dollars more for a higher-quality item.

At some point! We had to order this bench three times before we found one that worked! The first time, we ordered from a different retailer, and they sent us the incorrect color. So we went to Amazon and ordered a second one. It arrived quickly, but one of the pieces required for assembly was missing. Because the instructions were written in a confusing manner, it was easy to see why a piece was missing. We contacted the seller, and after demonstrating that we did indeed purchase what we claimed, they sent us another piece to complete the bench. It was, however, the incorrect piece. We'd already thrown away all of the packaging by that point, as it had been a few weeks. They advised us to simply return the bench and place an order for a new one, while keeping the piece they had sent us as a backup. We couldn't return the bench because it wasn't packaged, so my husband decided to make the steel piece himself. That never happened, so after a few more weeks, I placed an order for a new bench. The instructions had been changed in this case, but they were still mislabeled (see photo), so whoever is packing the pieces in the factory will continue to put the incorrect items in the box. It wasn't any different this time around. It was missing the same piece that had previously been missing. We eventually decided to keep the pieces we needed from each box, assemble the bench we already had, and return the other one with both pieces missing! br>br>The bench itself is fantastic, and we're pleased with our purchase now that it's up and running! Working with the seller was also a pleasure (albeit slow). However, because the instructions are still wrong, this could happen again.

I had no idea that this bench was made of fabric rather than faux leather vinyl. It's a unique fabric that is soft, which I admit I like, and has a leathery appearance. It's at the foot of my bed right now. It went together quickly. The only thing I don't care for, and it's not a big deal, is the fact that The fact that the bottom is a solid piece means that you can't vacuum under it without moving the entire bench and then reassembling it is a deal breaker. This could be tedious for some.
