It's a genuine reflection. For a young girl, it's very elegant. I didn't want a foil mirror because they appear to be low-cost. This one has left a lasting impression on me. I purchased one for my 5-year-old granddaughter, then returned to purchase another for my other granddaughter. Although one screw was damaged, we contacted the company, and they are sending a replacement.

This vanity desk is amazing and extremely inexpensive for the quality that it is built. I would recommend it to just about anyone and everyone, and my wife would as well. I bought it for her as a gift, and she absolutely loves it and uses it almost every day. It is very sturdy and comfortable, the mirror moves, and there are three drawers just about everything you would want in a vanity set. I saw some for over $400, and to be honest comparing the two this one is much better.
The vanity is the perfect size to hold everything I need while not taking up too much room. For the price, this is an absolute steal!! I'm not sure why people are claiming that this is a children's book. To use this, you'd need to be a tall kid. It's the right height for me. I'm 5'6. Anyway, I purchased some $10 knobs, striped contact paper, an $8 furry pillowcase to use as a stool cover, a $5 pack of small foam roses, and vanity lights (all from Amazon) to transform this vanity from plain to pizazzy. I absolutely adore it!.
Everything came out perfect, and it was a breeze to put together! This simple yet adorable vanity is one of my favorites.
It was simple to assemble - It is simple to accomplish for one person. It has a very nice and smooth finish. The color is exactly as shown in the picture. Regrettably, we didn't get around to putting it all together until three days before Christmas. When we got to the final three pieces, we discovered one of the mirror's arms was broken. We put the table, legs, and stool together (we couldn't go any further without the mirror arm) and had it ready for Christmas morning. She had no idea the drawers and mirror were missing until they were discovered. That same day, we sent an email to the manufacturer. In the event that something is missing or broken, they will tell you what to send to them on the directions. On the Saturday after Christmas, we received the replacement broken arm and completed the installation. It's lovely, and it's exactly what we were hoping for for our granddaughter. Now, unless the adult was extremely petite and light, I would not order this for her. This is clearly intended for a child or a teen. It could be used by an adult, but I think it would look childish in their bedroom, but that's just my opinion. This is something I would highly recommend, and I would buy another if the need arose.
It's so adorable. It is a big hit with my 8-year-old stepdaughter. They do, however, need to be more cautious when shipping. I had to use wood glue to keep the drawer together because it was hanging off. It shouldn't be necessary for me to purchase additional items in order to repair something I've already purchased. When it arrived, the box was nearly ruined. Because the box had a large hole in it, there were pieces of styrofoam all over. Fortunately, everything worked fine except for the drawer, and it's a lovely vanity.
This is designed for children, and it's built to last for a child weighing no more than 90 pounds. I used to make furniture as a hobby, and I'm impressed by what this company has accomplished using a combination of wood and fiberboard - Before making my purchase, I read other reviews from people who had issues with their legs and mounts breaking, and I'm curious if the damage was caused by abuse or too much weight on what is otherwise a well-made product. a well-made but "light-duty" item of furniture br>br>It's also worth noting that this furniture should not be exposed to excessive humidity for an extended period of time, or to any moisture for that matter. It's just common sense; it's MDF, which deteriorates quickly and loses structural integrity. br>br>My stepfather-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law-in-law- The gift is a hit with my daughter, and the price is unbeatable.
This vanity appealed to me because it is virtually pre-assembled when it arrives in the box. However, the screws do not stay well tightened, and the back of the drawers where the mirror connects is not the best, as the mirror and the stand for it are extremely heavy, causing it to pull the back of the drawer case out at least partially. However, with a little more glue and a few more dowels, it's now functional.
For a small space, this is ideal. Arrived in excellent condition and was incredibly simple to put together. With free shipping, it's a great deal at $99!.
