Box dimensions were 48" tall by 36" wide. It was difficult for me to move it off my front porch and into the house, but I was able to do it myself. The folded box springs were slid out of the box as I opened it. Packaged in bubble wrap and well protected, this item arrived in perfect condition. Also inside the bubble wrap were directions for easy understanding (with images). I unfolded the box springs after I removed the bubble wrap. The box springs for our king-size bed arrived just now. The box springs on my new furniture were so bad I didn't realize till after moving them around that they were broken. The reason we bought this bifold box spring is that we have a long flight of stairs leading up to our upper A perfect decision to make ease the complications of moving up the stairs and into the bedroom was to move them around one corner. In the past, I had a terrible experience trying to bring a queen size box spring up a flight of stairs. The ability to learn is within our reach! I love it! This is something I would like to thank the designer for! As the entire set weighs 63 pounds, we were able to lift one box spring by ourselves. As soon as we entered the room, we unfolded the covers, zipped them up and set them on the frame we had assembled before. In order to get the frame to fit the sides, we had to push them into place and pushed them down. This gave us great mattress support. This was such an easy way to move the bed. In order to "inflate" the Sleep Master King mattress, we brought it up and released it from the top. Here we go! We had a comfortable, lovely king-sized bed in just a few hours! In the wake of so many failed attempts to resolve the conflict The ease with which this set was assembled was extremely helpful - when we had box springs and huge, clunky mattresses to move or rearrange whenever we needed to, it was very frustrating.
