Probably, as long as it's at least 8 inches in diameter. You may be able to feel the bars beneath you if you wear anything less.
The frame is all there is. A mattress must be purchased separately.
Without using any tools, it took me about ten minutes to set it up. It's simple to put together, though it may be more difficult to unfold if you're going to sleep on it. To fold it back up, you'll have to flip it over, which can be inconvenient on a regular basis.

Selected User Reviews For Zinus 14 Inch Bifold Platform Bed Frame/Folding Mattress Foundation/Strong Steel Support/Box Spring Replacement/Maximum Under-Bed Storage, Queen
After reading mixed reviews on other Zinus bed frames, I was a little nervous, but this one is fantastic, and it's been a month since I got it. It's extremely sturdy and doesn't squeak or make any noise. There aren't a lot of moving parts or loose screws. It only takes a few minutes to put it together, which is fantastic. Finally, a squeaky box spring is no longer necessary. It's ideal for any mattress, including no-flip mattresses, in my opinion. The mattress moves around a little, but I'm sure there are solutions, such as wrapping rubber around some of the support bars to keep the mattress in place. There's plenty of storage space underneath, and my dogs adore it.
It does not squeak and is not overly heavy to move. There's a lot of room underneath for under-the-seat storage. There is a lot of storage under the bed, which is fantastic. The "slats" are, unfortunately, far too far apart for my liking. I was concerned that using the mattress without additional support would cause it to break down. br>br>So I placed a deflated air mattress across the slats. Then I separated the two pieces of the platform's packaging. The cardboard box is thick enough to act as a "bunkie board," and it appears to work well. I also kept the mattress's box in case I ever needed or wanted to add another layer.
It's a decent bed for the money, with the advantages of being portable, collapsible, and allowing you to store a lot underneath it. The steel bars are extremely uncomfortable, which is a disadvantage. For guests, I've offered to move the mattress to the floor because it's much more comfortable that way, haha. At the very least, it's sleepable, and I'd recommend it for thicker mattresses. Mine is only a few inches long, but the bars are clearly visible. I'm also an avid camper. a person who is accustomed to sleeping on the ground, on other people's floors, and so on.
It's the right size and, once put together, it's quite sturdy. The problem is with the assembly. The frame comes folded, similar to a hide-a-bed. a bed from the past It should have been as simple as unfolding it, locking it in place, and calling it a day. But it wasn't the case. Only four of the six supports are properly secured due to misalignment of the support bars. Two of them aren't going to fit together properly. I enlisted the help of two people in an attempt to align the frame, but we were unsuccessful. I was able to secure it sufficiently to support the bed, but I'm curious as to when the frame will finally give way. Aside from that, it is the perfect size for a queen mattress. When getting in and out of bed, there should be no squeaking or movement.
For me, it was a good choice because I was able to get it at a great price. It is extremely simple to operate. I thought one of the brackets was broken, but it turned out that I wasn't using it properly. My studio is teeny tiny, so I cut up a thick foam zinus matress into thirds with an electric knife. I am a serious diyer, so it was a fun project. I needed a bed that could also be used as a couch. My mattress was a 12 inch zinus green tea memory foam mattress. It's a full, but I shortened the side by four inches, making it wider than a twin. However, I needed a shorter length to hold the three parts of the converted fold out bed together. This is ideal because it fits perfectly and the parts do not move around. The frame's top and bottom are raised, allowing me to cram all of the pieces in for a perfect fit. So the sides stay in place, I'm going to buy full-size removable slats. However, I am unable to detect the metal bars mentioned by some. It may not be an issue if you have a thick enough mattress, such as a zinus 12 inch memory foam mattress. For me, it was not the case.
The bed was incredibly simple to assemble (just unfold it). That is all there is to it. It was extremely difficult to get into the grades necessary to ensure that it remained upright. Fortunately, I had a husband who was much stronger than me and was able to snap them into place. br>br>My only real complaint is that while it prevents the mattress from sliding back and forth, it does nothing to prevent it from sliding side to side. I'm going to buy a rubber rug pad to put under the mattress to help keep it in place. Aside from that, I have no issues.
The packaging, on the other hand, was a disaster. The actual product is ideal for my guest room. I have a tri folding foam mattress and only intend to use the bed for occasional guests; the bifold makes the frame slim, allowing me to store it in the garage without taking up too much room. The shipping was a major letdown. The box was a little beat up and had some large holes that looked like they were taped up, but that didn't stop some sort of red dirt and water from getting into the box and coating most of the frame and hinges in dirt, which I cleaned up but stained the bottom of the mattress and the carpet. It's not the manufacturer's fault, or at least I don't think it is, but the packaging could be a little more durable. To protect the frame from damage and dirt, it should have been covered with a second layer of cardboard.
Extremely simple to assemble, with no parts to assemble - Simply unfold the platform, open the legs, and tighten the thumb screws to secure the legs in place. The full size is light and small enough for one person (a 40-year-old woman) to set up. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. My daughter, her dog, and I, who together weigh about 400 pounds, were well supported; the frame does not wobble in the least. We used an 8" memory foam mattress from the same company to set it up. It is extremely cozy. My primary sleeping arrangement is a king-size split Sleep Number.
