You can flip and rotate it because it is double sided. As a result, I slept on a Tempur-Pedic mattress Since Pedic was founded in 1986, it has been offering foam mattresses for 20 years. Those were the good old days, but I will never return to them. In my opinion, this 14" spring took about a week to get used to, and from there it was magical! Last night was my best sleep in a long time. As a result of sleeping on foam, I mostly slept on my back, since the other 3 positions "sunk" into the material. Although I am comfortable in all 4 positions now, I find my side(s) to be the most comfortable. I can feel my spine cracking and relaxing in this position. The fact that this is still available to us at the age of 59 is incredible!
It depends on the size of the mattress. The bigger the mattress the more coils there will be. It might be of some help to you.

A lot of getting used to has been involved. After only a few weeks of therapy, I'm already seeing improvements in my hips and back. Taking care of my back and joints was a challenge with my old mattress. It's better to work for a firm.

However, we have yet to discover how well it sleeps and just how long it will last.
I recommend it for big and heavy set people who want a firm mattress with good edge support. The mattress is excellent for pain relief and is very firm to sleep on.
