In the product description and name, there is a lot of misleading information. It seemed to me that they were made from solid wood and wrapped in cloth. There is a word "solid wood" in the product name. In the description there is a reference to Mayton With a bunky board, twin, a platform bed, bunks or a daybed are grounded by a solid surface. There is no solid surface with this product! It is not "solid wood". There are four slats of wood in the frame. The product was very disappointing, and I was not happy with its quality. In addition, the box was not properly packed, and it was open when it was delivered.
My entire reason for buying this was that the slated on my bedstead were not providing the support my mattress needed. In the end, I just ordered the bunkie board online instead of trying to makeshift something out of boards from the home depot (which would require more time or money than it is worth). Well these were just slats, but they still worked with me in the end. In my opinion, this bunkie board should have slats, otherwise every slat would have the same effect. The whole point of this is to make your mattress firmer and for that you should have a board, otherwise you can use whatever you have.
It is installed under the mattress of an Ashley Furniture bed. Provides more than enough space for two adults, a baby, and a dog (about 650 pounds).
I also like the fact that I bought a brand new set. It was not possible to sleep comfortably on my bed with my regular box spring. My plan was to buy the bunkie board thinking it would fit a queen, since it is for a queen. No such thing exists. I have a half inch difference between each side of my bed, so the bunkie board is just able to slide up and down. A bed that is hard to make is a pain. Furthermore, it would be more aesthetically pleasing if it were one solid Two twins are not the same. My purple foam mattress comes all over the place because it is so soft. I need to make my bed first, so I have gaps in the middle. This is a good idea The first thing you should do is measure.
My Sleep Number bed is made of slats, so I bought this board to cover the slats. Sleep Number platforms used to be way too high, which is why we never used them. With the bunkie board, you gained additional stability without having to go up in I was worried it would not be stable but on top of the slats, the bed has not been unstable in the week I have used it. The fabric is quite soft with only some slats inside. If there were most slats in the fabric, I would rate this.
Our king bed was too tall, so we bought these to make it shorter. We previously added 12 inches to our 14-inch mattress to make a 12 inch high box spring. It was perfect to lower the overall height by 11 inches and for the support to be good. I bought this for a great price.
My understanding was that they were solid wood and not a frame. The sheets of plywood would have been sufficient.
I like the product, but it's not the right size. The dimensions are a couple inches smaller than the 60 by 80' they claim to have. I had to add an extra piece of wood in order to get it to.
