It's just as sterile as what you'd find in a mattress store, but at a fraction of the cost. br>Because it is an all-metal frame, I would say no to the weight limit.

I couldn't use it because it didn't fit in my bed frame.
When it came to the Amazon Basics Quad-Pack, I'll admit I was hesitant and had my doubts. Box spring should be folded. How good could a metal box spring be, after all? Isn't there a reason they've been made this way for over a century? br>br>Surprisingly, this works better than any other box spring I've ever used, for a variety of reasons. Because it is made of steel, it is extremely durable, even more so than a traditional wooden one. Because it is made of metal, it is much less likely to need to be replaced in the future. You also don't have to worry about the box spring becoming filthy because the cover can be removed and washed. Because this frame is easily disassembled and reassembled, moving it to a different room, house, or even another state is a breeze. br>br>And while we're on the subject, setup was a breeze. It says two people are required, but I was able to complete it by myself, with the exception of getting it on the bed frame, which I had some difficulty with. It took me about half an hour to complete the process. It’t be difficult to take back a part either, probably in even less time. Overall super happy with this and completely 100% recommend it!.

As a replacement for a mattress foundation in our guest room that had developed an annoying squeak, we used Amazon Basics' Fold Box Spring, Mattress Foundation. This item was recommended to be handled by two men, according to the instructions that came with it. However, despite my total weight of about 45 pounds, I was able to install it myself without difficulty because it opens with three simple movements. And I'm not a hulking brute. I calculated that the actual size was 58. There is no bowing of the metal anywhere on this 5 x 78 x 9 inch sculpture. It fit perfectly on the existing rails, and the mattress, which was more difficult to position, did as well. With a few jumps from two of my grandchildren, the setup was christened, and it remained securely in place without making any audible noises. However, I'm not sure if the difference in size will have an impact on longevity.

It was a breeze to put together this box spring. It is folded and flat packed when it is delivered. Simply unfold the metal frame, which will open up to form a metal box frame. The padded cover that comes with it zips up over the frame. There are helpful tags that indicate which side should be on top and which should be on the bottom. The frame is sturdy and significantly lighter than a standard queen box spring. It would have been beneficial to have handles built into the case to make lifting and moving the frame easier.
