It is very rare to find a bed frame like this. Zinus bed frames have been widely acclaimed and I, like most people, was impressed with its wide appeal, but at the same time I was still cautious, wondering what I would find. The package I received today, after putting it together, has shown to be quite impressive in * It's as sturdy and well-made as what you would find in an Ikea frame, if not better. A design is used that minimizes any metal rubbing that may occur and produce squeaks. All of the holes line up, and the structure is designed to minimize any metal rubbing and squeaks. It even comes with a rubber strip on the center support beam so that if you have a slightly bent wood slat, it will not make noise when it contacts the beam when you move it. As the fabric strap holding the slats together has an underside that has velcro on it and attaches to the velcro on the frame, the wood is held at perfect spacing. This is a smart move. A lot of care was taken to ensure that all of the points of attachment are as strong as possible and as One long piece of material makes up each side support. On the wood frames made of upholstered wood, the sides are divided into two sections. There is only one welded part for the bottom/end pieces (the legs and horizontal bar). It is attached to the vertical support/legs on each side. Since the sides are one piece, the box was the length of a queen bed, about 7 inches thick, and about 18 inches wide. *I specifically selected a Zinus bed with a metal frame and flat What's the reason? In comparison with wooden frames upholstered with fabrics these metal framed versions are lighter weight while retaining the same strength (it takes much more wood to equal the Check it out- As an example, the wooden frames are between 30-60 pounds heavier when upholstered, but this frame weighs 70 pounds. I am 50 lbs heavier than I was. Assembling this one was a breeze since the parts were easy to handle. I'll now discuss the slats. Instead of wood slats, metal supports are used with some versions of the metal frame. There'll be no doubt that this is a solid product, but with all those metal parts, it appears not to be a good idea It is more likely to hear some squeak noises when you have metal-to-metal connections, which is exactly what one reviewer noted when taking a look at the metal-to-metal frame. Several versions of the metal frame are also available with wood slats that are curved. My opinion is that those should be avoidable as well. Not sure what the purpose of these curved slats is, but having them before on an Ikea bed is pretty awful. You hear them scraping against the metal support posts every time you roll over, and they also squeak when they rub When you have a lighter weight mattress, that will make a huge difference, especially if you don't use it for pre-positioning This will result in much compression of the curved wood. Generally, heavier mattresses mitigate that issue somewhat, but it is best to prevent it altogether if possible. For a sound-free, solid (yet not too heavy) frame, I suggest sticking with the metal + flat wood slat frame, it is easy to maintain and offers a great deal of stability. Zinus offers a few other new models in their line including this that has a wood plank headboard and another that is upholstered in There's a lot I like about this one. There's a nice squishy texture to the fabric, and it looks quality. Behind it is a 5 inch thick piece of foam. If you are on the fence, I recommend going for it. It makes the piece seem like a higher quality item than if it was just stapled to a board. The only other option you'll find for this price is metal frames with flat wood slats. Also, my vote is for metal frames with flat wood.

I had originally given this product five stars, but now I am giving it two because of the poor Whenever I rate a product, I count the customer service as part of the product since you are responsible for both the product and the warranty. Despite their emphasis on customer service, Zinus' customer service department seems unconcerned about filing customer service requests in a timely manner. However, I think Zinus' products are of high quality, but experiences such as that will influence people's decision to refrain from purchasing more products from them. I have shared my customer service experience with you and hope it could be of help to those who are thinking about Assuming the materials were high-quality, it was really easy to assemble the frame. The instructions were easy to follow, and I had no issues installing it. We are afraid the frame will collapse at that weak point at any time because during installation the frame at the base of the bed broke on one of the edges. Since then the bed frame is squeaking every time we move in it and we fear it will collapse in the future. On the same day that I contacted Zinus online, I contacted their customer service support. It was the end of July when I took this picture. I had tried to call the customer service number several times but was unable to reach anyone. I had sent them a customer service request nearly a whole week ago but they never responded. On August 4th, I received an email reply from them, and I immediately provided them with the information they needed. It took them four days to respond back, and they informed me that they had replaced the part for me, and that I could track it through FedEx. The fact that they informed me of the replacement part and that they were willing to get me the part made me happy.
But, after a while, the status on the shipping number never changed from "Label Created. ". The tracking number was provided on August 14th ( 6 days after I received it ), so I gave it until then in the hopes that the item status may have just not been updated, or that the item may be I emailed customer service again because the item never shipped and I did not receive email confirmation. After telling them the item had never been shipped in my previous email with my explanation, they took six days to respond to my email asking them to respond to my previous email. It was not until the 23rd of August, nearly a whole month after first contact, that the customer service rep finally responded to my inquiry and said that the label had been lost and that they were creating a new one and It made me happy to hear that news, as I was looking forward to repairing Today is August 30th, and the new shipping label still has the status "Label created" and there has been no update on the shipping status and no mention of a shipment date either. My last contact with customer service was a few days ago, and I haven't heard back. My broken frame has been over a month since I contacted customer service, and I still do not know when I will get that replacement part. I guess if you do not break anything on this frame then you will be fine. The frame looks sturdy and Zinus' customer service is to be commended for being very helpful if you need to replace a part, return a frame, or have any questions about the product (although they seem to be nice people), but it may end up making you regret your purchase due to the slow response time. For now, I am not going to purchase any Zinus products since I am not confident their customer service team can handle the volume of demand for their products, and I don't want an item that is broken that I cannot fix and to which I cannot return because of the hassle.

It is easy to assemble, and we have been using it We haven't heard any complaints from downstairs neighbors about it, but it makes some noise when we move vigorously (ask your mom about that one). Fortunately, we do not have neighbors below us, but that is not the point. I find the headboard to be comfortable, and although the mattress is relatively thin, there is no problem with pillows escaping under it. This bed frame will get the 5th star in the future, but until it lasts many years, it will not truly qualify as.

I also used plumber's tape on the screws to ensure that it would never squeak, but you might not need to use it anyway. Even when I jump on this thing, it doesn't budge or make a sound. It's perfectly designed and built in a solid manner. It is impossible to rely on bamboo wood slats for its strength. In this sleeping space, we have a king size bed frame with slats that bend when we lie down. The bending makes the bed Even though I weigh 150 lbs, I am not a very heavy person. There is no problem with the metal outer frame, but there are wood supports that are problematic. We were forced to go to the hardware store and buy thicker plywood instead of receiving extra supports from the manufacturer. We are happy to report that Amazon refunded us $110 for the cost of the plywood to replace the slats, proving to be a very generous company. Our manufacturer refused to do anything, but Amazon went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The rating for Zinus is one star, the rating for Amazon is five stars!.
