Cheap. Rickety. Unsound in terms of structure. You can get a lot more bang for your buck! This was purchased to serve as a television stand in my living room. br>br>My first blunder was assuming this was "reclaimed wood," as the title suggests. It's not. There is no wood on this piece of furniture; it is made of MDF and laminate. br>br>The assembly system is similar to that of IKEA. I've put together a lot of Ikea furniture before and never had any trouble keeping the pieces stable and structurally sound. Despite spending literally 15 years putting similar systems together, this piece turned out to be a shaky piece of junk. Simply put, the pieces would not fit together in a way that was both safe and acceptable. br>br>I managed to put it together, but it was flimsy and unappealing. I initially considered keeping it because it was so difficult to disassemble and package for pickup - $140, on the other hand, is still $140. I dismantled it and returned it. br>br>Do not throw your money away. Go to Home Goods and see what they have to offer. A true genuine wood stand can be purchased for the same price.

It took me over an hour, but I did it alone because I was too impatient and excited to wait for my boyfriend. I got this on sale, and it's perfect for my tiny one-bedroom apartment. Because I have cats, the barn door is fantastic. The drinkware is kept in the closed end. Also. To make more space for glasses, I ordered a small wine glass holder from Amazon and screwed it in (see photo).

Update: The issues with the product that I mentioned have gotten worse. The items used to keep the screws in place keep falling out onto the floor. Every other day, I've had to reinstall them and tighten them. Also, anything weighing less than 10 pounds or off-the-grid, I put in there. I'll sway if I'm in the middle of the cabin. Purchases should be avoided. br>br>I give this item four stars because I absolutely adore the way it looks. However, it isn't completely indestructible. There is some swaying of the item. It's possible that this is due to the screws loosening on their own. Make sure your product is free of scratches by double-checking it. Mine had a few large ones, but they were on the bottom or inside, so I didn't mind in the end. Also, the sliding door won't go all the way to the left. It is not a smooth transition and requires the assistance of a second person to reach the desired position. I can work with that because it is the side aisle where I have my door on 90 of the time . The final product is lovely and those look good in my space.

This purchase has made me very happy, and I'm glad I made it. To begin with, the packaging was excellent and effectively reproduced the item. Although this is manufactured wood, the boards have a good overall quality. I didn't have to force any of the nails or bolts into place because the screw holes were perfectly aligned. All of the pieces fit together nicely, and putting this cabinet together was a breeze. This was my first solo project, and it took me two hours to complete. You'll need to flip your entire chest, which could take up to 2 minutes. Three times, so having a second person on hand would be beneficial. Otherwise, you should be able to handle it on your own. br>br>The final product is fantastic, and the unit is extremely durable. My only gripe is that the sliding door is prone to coming off its hinges. When sliding the door open, both my four-year-old and husband popped it off its track. Because the track guide adjusts, I've moved it a little further into the grove. Hopefully, this will help you avoid problems caused by heavy use; in any case, be gentle with the door. I believe the sliding door is the weakest/thinnest piece in the entire set, which is unfortunate because it is a major design feature. br>br>Overall, I like the cabinet, and it contributes to my home's overall style theme. I would strongly suggest it.

This was one of those pieces that I really wanted to like. I ordered another cabinet at a great price, but Amazon Warehouse, I believe, cheated me! I looked for another for a long time before settling on this one. I knew it wouldn't be real wood at first, but I expected it to be thicker than what I received. It's extremely light and doesn't resemble wood at all. It was extremely difficult for me to put it together on my own, and the instructions would have been better if they had specified which side of the wood to use. There was a lot of screwing together and dismantling!! Because the screw holes aren't very deep, it'll be difficult to do it by hand as instructed. I ended up using an electric screwdriver because screwing by hand would have taken me five days instead of the six hours it took. Screwing it together by hand would have made it even more unstable. I wanted to return it halfway through, but I had already invested too much time in it. I'd buy it again if the opportunity arose. NO! If you choose to buy one, I'm not sure whether I'll use it or sell it. Do not attempt to assemble it yourself, and do not hold your breath for much! It appears to be a $50 bargain rather than a $150 piece of furniture for which you would expect more. They send you a strap that you can attach to the wall to keep it from falling over - I can see why they would include something like that. It would only take a small amount of force for it to topple.

It's well-built, with high-quality hardware. Nothing was damaged because of the well-packaged pieces. Simply prepare the vacuum because the styrofoam used was crumbling and leaving a mess all over the place. br>br>The parts were clearly labeled, and the assembly took only a few hours. I'd recommend it!.
