The caps have come off clean and undamaged since using it.
I'm not sure how well they'd hold up outside; they could rust, but you might be able to prevent that by spraying them with a protective coating.
I believe the screws are about a half-inch long, but I used slightly longer drywall screws to ensure that it was securely fastened.

These are certainly attractive decorations, but when it comes to functionality, you'll want to filter your beers through something to ensure that no glass is present. Four of the five beers shattered the glass on the bottle's top. Due to their lack of functionality, we may have to return them.
I bought a few of these for a small project I'd been thinking about, and I'm really happy with them. The quality and appearance are excellent. They'd be fine on their own, but since I'd already hot flocked a mason jar, I decided to color match the opener as well. It came out beautifully!.
br>I believe that this is a poor design because it allows too much of the bottle to be inserted, causing it to snap off just beneath the bottle cap. br>br>It gets two thumbs down from me!.
The good: br>With only minor hole resizing, it fits the bolt holes on the side of my Harbor Freight tool box/porch bar. br>Contrary to popular belief, the following is a list of flaws in this br>It always seems to rip off the top of the bottle; I'm not new to opening beers, but it appears to be extremely difficult to open a non-alcoholic bottle. With this opener, you'll be thrown for a loop. Don't get me wrong: I still drank the beer, but I'd rather not have to worry about cutting my lip. đŸ¤ .
We bought these to go on the porch bench's legs. We can now carry bottles out for refreshment without worrying about spilling any.
I would not have purchased this item if I had known about it. It did exactly what other reviewers said it would: it snapped the top of the neck off. I tried four different types of beer bottles, and they all caught and would have torn the bottle neck off if I had applied enough force. It's a loss of two beers and $9 in my book. Purchases should be avoided.
The bottle openers are angled just right for a bottle and are as shown. They easily grab the cap only, and the box in which the items arrived was falling apart, but my biggest gripe was that only one set of mounting screws for the two openers was included. This is both unacceptable and disappointing.
