Three OXO lid openers have been purchased. They're a little bigger and better for larger jar lids, but only one of them works well on plastic water bottle caps (my mother has severe arthritis and needs assistance twisting the caps). So I switched to this one to see if it would work, and it does an excellent job. The teeth are strong enough to hold the cap in place without requiring excessive force. I wouldn't recommend it for all caps, such as larger spaghetti sauce or pickle jars (they're too small), but for water bottles, it's perfect. perfect.

My hands aren't very good. I find it difficult to open water bottles and other similar containers; however, this device has an elegantly simple design that works well and makes opening those bottles relatively simple. It grips the bottle more tightly the harder you push it perpendicular to it. Also, I like the colors.

Anyway, because I have arthritis in my hands, opening a variety of screw-driver sizes is difficult (and sometimes impossible) for me. lids of the type I bought six different types of openers to solve this problem, and I'll tell you which one is the best: This one rocks! The round type that adheres to the underside of a kitchen cabinet (so it is stationary) is the only other one that comes close. I've got one in my kitchen, and I'm going to get a few more of these portable ones to put around the house, garage, and cars. Both openers have the same basic mechanism. The only real difference is that one is permanently anchored while the other is completely mobile. I highly recommend this opener because it is easy to use, store, and does the job quickly and efficiently every time!.
