My life has been changed because of this filter. I live in an area with bad water that contains high iron content. The iron in our water leaves stains on whites sometimes, and I find it difficult to wash In the end, my "water guy" suggested a different filter, but it didn't seem to be very effective. The number I have is In the well water I had 5ppm iron, mostly iron from the clear water that would leave orange stains on everything from my bathtub to my shower curtain. High school grades were also a problem for me Manganese, magnesium, calcium, silica and sodium are found in the water, as is a smell (hydrogen sulfide? ), and a bitter taste.
