They should, hopefully, last a little longer. br>br>"Calibrated" instant read thermometer: br>br>"New out of the box" instant read thermometer: br>br>"New out of the box" instant read thermometer: br>br>"New out of the box" instant read thermometer: br>br>"New out of the box" instant read thermometer: br>br>"New TP- 32Fbr>br>32Fbr>br>32Fbr>br>32Fbr br>20br>Old investigation: 33br>I've just gotten some new probesbr>New probe: 35br>A new air probe has been installed: 35br>br>The new probes are reliable, but slightly off. For coarse work, it's most likely close enough. It is not possible to calibrate the TP20. Because the new probe is longer and straighter than the air probe, old probe, and instant read, I had to double-check that I was measuring temperature at the tip in the same spot as the air probe, old probe, and instant read.
In my smoker, I use it. After only one cook, the ambient probe had lost its accuracy. The difference in temperature was 20 degrees. The other probe continues to function normally, but I'm curious as to when it will stop. This product is fine as long as it functions properly; after that, best of luck. It appears that I must replace mine more frequently than I would like.
The probes are made in the same way that the probes that came with the thermometer were made. When it comes to temperature changes, the temp probe used to measure the temperature of the barbeque reacts differently than the meat probe. When a meat probe is used for the same purpose, it takes longer for the temp probe to reach the actual temperature in the smoking area. I thought it was defective the first time I used it, but after giving it some more time, it returned to the correct reading after a few minutes. Extra grill clips for the probe were included by the seller, which is an added bonus. In general, this is a fantastic deal.
It does exactly what it says. I bought these to replace my old TP- There are twenty probes in total. I've only used them once, but they appear to be just as good as the originals. I like that the ambient temperature probe is shorter, as my original probe is far too long and takes up far too much space in many of my smoking setups; also, I tested their accuracy with a boiling water test, and they read 211F, which is pretty good. I'll keep this updated as I use them more, but for now, I'm giving them four stars. ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE: ***UPDATE I've been using these probes on a weekly basis for almost a year and they're still going strong! I'm going to give it a five-star rating now.
This is something I should have done a long time ago. br> Most of the bells and whistles on the cheaper models are useless for one reason or another, such as the alarms not being loud enough, not being able to see all of the alarm threshold settings on one screen, forcing you to toggle between screens to keep up, proves being generic and not holding up, and a lack of consistency. br> This meter is well-made (device and probes), well-protected with a rubber outer protector, and shows the temperature at the transmitter. The receiver has a belt clip that transforms into a stand to keep it upright and visible, and the transmitter has a rotating clip for hanging in the kitchen. The alarms are loud enough to be heard but not too loud. I could go on, but I'm sure you get the idea. Because you'll want to keep this one around, I recommend getting the soft carrying case from another company.
A few years ago, I bought a 20 dual probe cooking thermometer. It's ideal for turkey frying because it allows you to monitor both the cooking oil and the internal temperature of the turkey at the same time; however, I couldn't find the oil probe (ambient temp probe) this year. I contacted the vendor and informed them that it had vanished and that I needed to replace it. They sent me a new probe at no cost after I gave them my Amazon order number, despite the fact that I admitted I had misplaced it! That exceeded my expectations by a long shot. Thanks!.
When placed in the cooker, the ambient probe was up to 30 degrees off. I've never used a meat thermometer before. br>br>I measured ice and boiling water and compared the results to my original probe. In ice water, the temperature ranged from 32 to 34 degrees Fahrenheit. The original probe read 32 degrees and the new one read 37 degrees. This probe read 217 (impossible) in boiling water, while the original probe stayed at 211 (boiling temperature at my elevation).
This isn't compatible with the T11. T11 should be removed from the Thermopro units this will work on because the connection is loose and the display displays LLL unless you hold the connector on by hand.
